(2) MaRAWK!!o at (1) Khodu
Biggest game of the year so far. Both teams have struggled to get this far and to have this matchup at 9-0 for both teams is pretty exciting. In season 3, these two teams scored in 11 games total, so a long road for both franchises. However, the winner gets the honor of being the #1 contender for the Tripoli Cup, so the celebration isn’t going to last much longer than pregame.
Khodu has two big wins this season and MaRAWK!!o has been relatively untested to date. Saturday we find out if the improvements MaRAWK!!o has made are good enough to compete at the conference championship level. Khodu’s two wins are a little bit sullied by AI errors by their opponents, but with two wins in the bank they are in superb position for playoff seedings.
Close game at end of three, but one of these teams is going to score a couple of times in the fourth to break it open and win by 10. I’ve no idea who is gonna pull this one out.
(9) nWo at (3) Tripoli
Tripoli brings it’s A-game and a TV set. I expect Tripoli to put on an exhibition to make sure folks don’t forget that they are the dominant team in the conference right now. No amount of Kevin Nash can overcome the fightin’ Tanner Maxwells!
Tripoli: 105
nWo: 3:16
(6) Happy Hour at (4) E’ci
E’ci is set for a mental letdown after the big win last week and Happy Hour is prepared to snag one of these games sooner or later and I’m gonna guess this is the one! Beware the false drink specials!!!
Happy Hour: 45
E’ci: 44
(11) Cairo Cougars at (5) Iowa Fortress
It has been reported that Iowa had a closed door players-only meeting this week to get back together. Crushing expectations have led to lapses in concentration and three losses more than they expected. The bad news is the season is only half over. However, in this format, you only need to get into the playoffs. All objectives are still available for them and I expect it to start looking that way starting this week.
Iowa – 120
Cougars – Over 40
(10) FFA at (7) Dakar Lightning
FFA is going to use this game to prove they belong. I’m seeing a close win and a shift in momentum for FFA. Their schedule is still difficult, but I expect FFA to make it into the playoffs when all is said and done.
(14) Springfield Isotopes at (8) Ocho Cinco
The Isotopes are all charged up for this one and have really focused on their window valences for this game. It won’t matter. Ocho Cinco makes it 5 in a row with a win that shows what team 85 think really matters.
(if you aren’t crying at the end of the isotope previews, you should have paid more attention in chemistry. I’m killing these!)
(13) Ethiopia Famine at (12) Whiskey Tango
Big battle for position in next year’s playoff race….wait! SWT has played a lot of tough games with the big boys, e
(16) Mozambique ChiefPU’s at (15) Cairo Scorpions
Cairo by 1…at least.
