Cologne Vikings(7-0) at Barcelona Wildcats(4-3)

This is the game of the week. Cologne remains undefeated while Barcelona has shown some real skill and showed they are better than their record. The Vikings surprisingly struggled last week, edging the 3-4 London Cardinals in a 38-26 win that most expected to be a blowout. Barcelona is riding a 3 game winning streak, most recent beating Subotica Mighty Ducks 77-35 in a convincing win. Barcelona's offense relies more heavily on passing, while Cologne relies more heavily on running. Unfortunately for Barcelona, their run defense is below-average and if they want a chance to win this game they have to stop the run.

Prediction: Barcelona gives Cologne their biggest challenge of the year yet, but falls just short because their offense cannot put up enough points to match Cologne's high-powered offense. Cologne wins 42-24

Cashville Dollar Bills(2-5) at Reading Football Club(6-1)

This game should get ugly as Reading continues an impressive resurgence on a 5-game win streak. Reading comes off a blowout 91-0 win over Murdurapolis and Cashville also comes off a blowout 80-14 win over Bellingham. Unfortunately for Cashville, the matchups are set for an ugly game. Cashville is 26th out of 32(in BBB #14) overall defense, and 28th in rush defense. Reading comes in 6th overall in offense, and 5th in rush offense. Expect a big game from Reading's three-headed monster at HB while Cashville gets a touchdown or two from the passing game.

Prediction: Reading wins 79-14

Toledo Scarlet Fever(6-1) at Ash vs. Team Rocket(4-3)

Toledo comes in still proud of a 31-17 win over Dusseldorf and a blowout win over Hamburg. Ash vs. Team Rocket..well..they're a computer team so they don't have any feelings or motivation. Toledo has the #1 rushing attack while Ash is only average on run defense. Toledo will run all over this team.

Prediction: Toledo wins 65-17.

Tauber Black Knights(5-2) at Hamburg Flyers(1-6)

Not much guessing to do about this game as Tauber and their #3 offense come to face Hamburg's #27 defense. Hamburg's offense is abysmal, ranking 31 in both pass and run. There is more than 50% chance they get shut out.

Prediction: Tauber wins 79-0

Naples Knights(5-2) at Dusseldorf Demon Knights(5-2)

A very good game here between two top teams. Naples comes in with the #1 overall offense in all of BBB #14, including the #1 passing attack. Naples' defense also ranks #10 overall and they are a very solid team. Dusseldorf is not far behind - they rank #4 overall offense, #2 in passing. Their defense is slightly better at #9 overall. So here is the situation: Naples' #1 offense vs. Dusseldorf's #9 defense, and Dusseldorf's #4 offense vs. Naples' #10 defense. Something has to give, right? I think Naples' pass offense will just be too much to handle, though, and Dusseldorf's strength is run defense, not pass defense.

Prediction: Naples wins 42-17.

Not much to look at here. The Spider Pigs are really a struggling team and have lost 6 straight. London is much better than their record indicates.

Bellingham is the worst team in the league in offense, defense, and by record. Another blowout loss for them.

Windsor is better than their record shows. Murdurapolis is worse than their record shows. Windsor uses a balanced pass attack to win easily.

When I was making the Cologne game prediction, I first had it written as Barcelona looking. But based purely on more research and rankings I gave it to Cologne. My gut instinct was for Barcelona, and that means this should be a close game either way.

Big win for Toledo, I need more extra points.

Overall I did pretty good. I came really close on the Subotica/Bellingham game and the Toledo game. The only thing I really missed on was predicting Murdurapolis to score 21 and they got shut out.
