Alright here we go. It's all math based and you really don't want to hear how I did it, believe me. Suffice to say that starting rosters, points for/against, record, and relative opponent strength are currently factors. Scores are out of 10, so without further ado, welcome to week 3's Power Rankings

2nd: The Aggressors (8.19)
3rd: Tuscalossa Tide (7.66)
4th: New Orleans Swampdogs (7.63)
5th: Montreal Eh's (7.02)
6th: Chicago Red Bulls (6.44)
7th: Ferris State Bulldogs (6.18)
8th: Virginia Cowboys (5.97)
9th: Midway Monsters(5.83)
10th: Oakland Mother-In-Laws (5.70)
11th: Myrtle Beach Screamin' Eagles (4.62)
12th: Nashville Stunners (4.30)

YaY I'm 5th! If i was smart enough though I would of named the team the Oakland Eh's, Would've of been funnier. oh well! Pretty good for a guy who wanted to be in a canadian league originally haha.

That was what you said, but I could be interested to know you did it more then you think.

Oh BTW, can I put my Sportscenter update in this thread?

The talk thread would be about the owners talking about the matchups and this thread would be an opportunity to comment the Power Rankings and the Sportscenter Update

I got no problems with you putting the sportcenter updates here, seems like a much better place.

As far as what I did exactly to come up with the rankings, here probably isnt the place to talk about it. It'd be more lengthy and boring for other people to shift through. I'll try and send you a message in the next few days while I try and streamline my process a bit as well.

I wish someone would do this for the west.

Very cool. The Cowboys are still trying to shake off the last couple CPU players so I hope to see us move up the rankings soon.

What sort of system do you use to create these rankings?

Guess I'll spill the beans. Basically there's ratings for starting offense, starting defense, record, point difference and opponent strength. Each rating accounts for 2 points of the 10 point scale. Currently working on manipulating opponent strength to take in account for upsets so that it doesn't simply balance out for all teams by the end of the season (works well at the minute though). Since I can't see individual attributes I work with player levels. Still a lot i want to tweak, like do I really want point difference worth a full 2 points as well as other possible categories that would be influential enough that I'm forgetting.
