So I know it's early but I got bored, tried figuring out some playoff stuff. Here is what each team is going to need to do the rest of the way to get the #1 seed.
Belgrade Bulldogs - 6-0
They control their own destiny. Being the only undefeated team left, they are in the drivers seat. But they have not played many of the other top teams yet. Dates with Transylvania week 10, Dublin Week 13, Kilkenny Week 14, and Basin City Week 16 all still are a ways ahead.
Kilkenny Cannibals - 5-1
They also control their own destiny since their one loss was to a team from Zeta. If they can take Belgrade down week 14, they also already have the tiebreaker over Dublin, then they just need to beat BCB this up coming week, and Transylvania week 16 and it's all theirs.
Dublin Drunken Monkeys 5-1
Dublin is the first team that needs a little help. They have a big win already against BCB, but have a loss to Kilkenny. They need to win out, including wins over Transylvania week 15 and Belgrade week 13, and have someone take down Kilkenny to give them a shot at the #1 spot.
Basin City Blues 5-1
After falling last week to Dublin, BCB now need a little help to reclaim the #1 seed. Dublin needs to go down to someone the rest of the way, and BCB needs to win out. They still have Kilkenny week 7, and Belgrade week 16 as their top obstacles left.
Transylvania Bloodsuckers (5-1)
Like the other two, Transylvania needs one team to lose and then to win out. BCB is going to have to drop another game, and then the Suckers need to win out. They still have a lot of the top teams left though, Belgrade week 10, and then Dublin and Kilkenny the last two weeks of the season.
Now as you guys can obviously see, down the stretch in the last couple of weeks it's goign to get very interesting. lots of big games week 15 and 16.
Now these 5 teams aren't the only one with a chance to claim the #1 seed, just the ones who have the best chance and need the least amount of help. There are still 3 teams hangin around at 4-2, and don't count out Oklahoma, at 3-3 making some noise come playoff time. It's going to be a very interesting rest of the season!
