GAME OF THE WEEK

Tripoli Terror vs Iowa Fortress 31-3

Being one of Africa AA3's most storied rivalaries, many expected this to be the game of the year. In the end it turned out to be nothing more then pure domination by the Terror. Led by last years MVP Tanner Maxwell, Tripoli's swarming defense held the Fortress to only 3 points and 228 yards of total offense. Offensively the Terror aired it out for nearly 300 yards despite 4 interceptions. This performance shows AA3 that Tripoli is a legit championship contender.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSE

Tristan Bennett
Tripoli WR
9 Rec, 128yds, 3 TD

Another great performance by one of the leagues best receivers. Bennett continues his record setting pace and at this rate could shatter every major AA3 receiving record by seasons end.

DEFENSE

Tanner Maxwell
Tripoli DE
5 Tkl, 1 Hry, 2 Sack, 1 FFum, 1 Int

An epic game by one of the best defensive ends AA3 has ever seen. Tanner filled up the stat sheet with not only 2 sacks but also 2 TFL, 4 PD's, 1 Hry, 1 FF and 1 interception that he nearly took to the house

Excellent work. My guys are working hard looking forward to a game that counts. Offensively we (statistically) are as good as anybody, but I think our sos is much less than the other teams in the league.

I still give us a ranking of 4/5, which will get worked out when we play the other 4/5 team: Khomutoamodo.

But don't act like we aren't putting this on the bulletin board. Dropping one spot despite grinding our opponents bones for flour?

I'm so angry!

lol I was going to keep you guys at 3 but I was getting bored with the rankings staying pretty much the same every week.

I think you were just trying to make the tripoli game more important. I know your agenda.

I wish Tanner didn't get so confused when he got that int. He started to run the wrong was at first. Maybe with a little more practice he'll figure out which way you're supposed to run once you have the ball in your hands.

He spends so much time chasing the ball, he probably was like a dog that finally catches its tail. But he isn't fast enough or agile enough to really get much yardage on a return. I think we can all admit that.

If there is something that Tanner is lacking it is not speed or agility

Remember Tanner is our backup punter

when he caught it he was already running that direction. You factor in momentum and the fact that he has to turn around before he can go the other way and you get a DE running the wrong direction.

Also I'm pretty sure BSS was being sarcastic when he said Tanner lacked the spd/agi to go very far. >_< Gogo diving tackles by offensive tackles.
