Game of the week – Manitoba vs. Vancouver

#1 Triple B's 5-0

Previous #1
High #1
Low –N/A

Decimated the Thrashers by over 100 points in a game that was over before it began. This week the B’s travel to Genosha in what should be their toughest game yet. Don’t expect a blowout but do expect the B’s to win handily. Prediction - TB's by 28.

#2 Unsavory Gentlemen 5-0

Previous #2
High #2
Low #2

Coming off a win vs. a very tough Genosha team the Unsavory Gentlemen have a breather against the all CPU Care Bears. Prediction - UG by 100 or so.

#3 Genosha X-Men 4-1

Previous #3
High #3
Low#3

The game with the UG lived up to the hype. This week the X-Men host the Triple B’s in a pivotal playoff positioning game. This is a true test for the B’s but one they should be prepared for. It may be close early, but depth and game planning will propel the B’s. Prediction – B’s by 28.

#4 Vancouver Vikings 5-0

Previous #4
High #4
Low #9

The Vikes just keep rolling along. This week they face a tough test against a Manitoba team looking to get back in the win column. The game may catch them by surprise as the Lions only losses have been at the hands of three of the best teams in A5. Prediction – Vikings by 10.

#5 Alberta Irukandji 4-1

Previous #5
High #4
Low #6

Proved they are back on track by virtue of the defeating a tough Canada Dragons team. This week should be a cupcake walk for the Irukandji as they face Ste. Marie. Prediction – Alberta by 84.

#6 Prince George Warriors 4-1

Previous #6
High #4
Low #6

Defeated a tough Lion’s team in one of the better games of the season. This week the PGW face off against a North Bay Drift team looking to rebound from a tough loss vs. the Demos. This one should not be close. Prediction – PGW by 35.

#7 Manitoba Lions 2-3

Previous #7
High #4
Low #7

Played a heartbreaker vs. PGW in a game that lived up to its past history. This week the Lion’s face the best of the new A5 teams in the Vancouver Vikings. The Lions could surprise the Vikes but Vancouvers game planning is spectacular. Prediction – Vancouver by 10.

#8 Canada Dragons 3-2

Previous #8
High #8
Low #9

Were easily defeated by a tough Alberta team. This week they Dragons face off against a FMMP team that cannot seem to get things going offensively. This could be a close game but expect the Dragons to pull out the W. Prediction – Dragons by 14.

#9 Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts 3-2

Previous #9
High #7
Low #9

Crushed the stuffing out of the Care Bears which was no big surprise. This week they face the cellar dwellers of the league in the queen’s angels. Should be an easy W for the Thunderbolts. Prediction – Rancho by 200 or so.

#10 Saskatchewan Thrashers 2-3

Previous #12
High #10
Low #12

Yep the thrashers were crushed, but losing to the Demos and getting dismantled by the Thunderbolts send the Drift and FMMP down the rankings. This week the Thrashers can prove they are worthy of passing the drift by beating the Demos. It should be close but I am giving the Thrashers the nod of confidence. Prediction – Thrashers by 3.

#11 North Bay Drift 2-3

Previous #10
High #10
Low #13

Should have beaten the Demos but failed to deliver. The Demos had levels but they Drift appear to have solid builds and game planning, two things the Demos lacked. No amount of builds or game planning help this week vs. PGW. Zippo should light them up. Prediction – PGW by 35.

#12 F. Hockey Demos 1-4

Previous #13
High #12
Low #13

Showed a spark this week vs. the Drift and proved they can win vs. a competent opponent. This week the Demos face a Saskatchewan team looking to rebound from two crushing defeats against the top two teams in the conference. Expect a close game but heart wins out over luck. Prediction – Saskatchewan by 3.

#13 Fort McMurray Mounted Police 1-4

Previous #11
High #10
Low #13

Everyone seems to be N.W.A. fans because right now everyone is F’ing the police. This week FMMP face a top 8 team in the Canada Dragons. They have a chance in this game, something they have not had very often to this point. It should be close but in the end the Police fall short. Prediction – Canada by 14.

#14 Sault Ste. Marie 0-5

Previous #14
High #14
Low #14

Still carrying CPU players galore, Ste. Marie has some excellent players at their disposal, too bad the game planning and supporting cast are completely lacking. Expect a beatdown this week vs. Alberta. Prediction – Alberta by 84.

#15 Chilliwack Care Bears 1-3

Previous #15
High #15
Low #16

They suck as much as the cartoon did and only slightly less than the queens angels. This week they get lit up by the UG. Prediction – UG by 100+

#16 the queen's angels 0-4

Previous #16
High #15
Low #16

Would take a Pulp Fiction size needle to pump life back into these guys. I don’t foresee a W this year. This week they get raked over the coals by Rancho. Prediction – 200+

as of tomorrow our team will have much needed depth. From here on out including tommorow night we will be a much better team in the 4th quarter.

It has been really tough for the Drift this season. Small parts of the game have proven so huge since we are playing so far over our heads with build levels. We have fantastic builds but so much younger than our opponents.

It is the simple things like the Dline being unable to get off blocks to pinch in the ball carrier.

We have had to change nearly everything we do just to attempt to compensate.

We really really wanted to and believed we could beat Fhockey, but the level discrepancy was to great.

Great job on the rankings.

It is interesting how much it has changed so far in the season.

I honestly never expected Vancouver to move so high and North Bay so low. No offense to NB in any way, I think they are a good squad obviously.

With a win, how high does Saskatchewan move up? We have a stretch here with 4 games that can go either way for us.

If you beat Manitoba and Canada Dragons and win at least 1 out of the other two games I could see you lead frog both Rancho and the Dragons, even with the L vs Rancho. The loss was so close the effect should be minimal unless matching up very close records in the power rankings. In other words if you are 6-3 and Ranco 4-5 then I would give you the nod for SOS and overall record.

I was just about to call out my own boy for this one. I consider this a game off. It's our turn to pad the stats on the Carebears.

Every league needs a stat padder I guess. On the other hand I'm as nervous as can be. I really need to define my team. We seem to be wandering in the wilderness.

Does a magnifying glass count, if so, then yes I do.

I think a magnifying glass can count but only on a sunny day.
