I find it funny that the #1 team Khodumodumo's Revenge(power rankings thread) was absolutly destroyed by Nairobi 52-24.

Season 6 league champion will be coming from the Lion Conference.

I don't put much stock in the early scrimmage games. I know I was playing with the new screen plays, ect to really test what was available.

I'll miss the showdowns at the end of the season.... those were fun and helped give us a better feel for how good people were across the league.

The good news for you is that you will only have to play one of the elephant conference elites if you make it to the championship game where we ALL have to play each other.

Well I don't agree that The Revenge are the number one team in Elephant. According to Tanner, Tripoli is the number one team and look what we did to the Lion team we faced. So in my opinion the Championship still goes through Elephant.

fact. You can not take preseason games into account when the game added an entire new option for the offense with the new playbooks and the new plays. Only time will tell though.

I have nothing but respect for Khodumodumo also, but you also must take into account the 2 other "elite" Elephant Conf. teams they beat (Iowa and E'ci) each had terrible AI situations going into the game. E'ci with their kicking mistake, and Iowa not having any AI done heading into the game. Dont put much stock in your game Sten.

How about a tourney?? I would be in to prove Lion is the better conference. Let's quit arguing about it and find out.

1) those those power rankings are based of wins and overall record right now. They don't neccesarily indicate the best team right now overall.

2) Are you really going to use a meaningless scrimmage game as a basis to compare two conferences?

Just for the record, the Revenge did not even have the AI turned on for both preseason scrimmage games.

If/When we get to play Nairobi, we will game plan for them and bring our best game, I can't predict the outcome.

As for the other 2 wins being discussed here, they are what they are. We beat 2 teams that on paper look better than us.

However, I am not going to discount the time and efforts we took in both games to give us the best chance to win. It's why we play the games, when we play again the outcomes may be different, we will have to wait and see.

Apparently...

There isn't an argument, neither conference cares about the other. It was someone from Lion last season who made the random ignorant comment about how Lion has all the best rivalries; that's because if you only follow your team and the teams your team has to play/beat, you really don't notice much else. I certainly don't.

This topic just makes me wish that Bort would implement some sort of Pro Bowl game for each league. I'd take elephants best against lions best any day
