Here are this weeks 5 star games of the week. Again, these are my opinion of the most interesting games to keep an eye on.
***** Banzai Nites at VKS:
For a second week in a row, VKS finds themselves towards the top of the game of the week. They knocked off the mighty MTD with a last second FG. This is a revenge game for the Nites as VKS sent them home with an L last season.
**** TiTs at Bomb Squad:
The TiTs are looking to stay "firm" in Alpha. A loss here by them puts them in hole of possibly getting the #1 seed, having to play the big dogs still. Bomb Squad got a welcoming party by those "Office" men from West Scranton and look to bounce back to show they are one of the 4 elite teams in Alpha.
*** Fiji Stingers at Brisbane Heat
Fiji proved themselves in their last prime time game, well here they are in another. They felt a little underappreciated in the last segment as they seemed to be the underdog. Well here is their chance to take out one of Zeta's finest. The Heat are on fire, but will they get stung....stay tuned.
** Barossa Grapestompers vs Samoa Gangsters:
The two new teams have proven themselves so far. Barossa rolls in with a perfect 4-0 record. They knocked off a powerhouse team in VKS, proving they belong up here with the big boys. Samoa is off to a fine 3-1 record, with their only loss coming to Zeta powerhouse, The Heat. This will be a battle of the newbies. A win for either will set themselves up nicely in Zeta's blood bath of a division.
* Dreadnoks at Canberra Strike:
This match intrigues me. A few games could have gone in this spot, but this one should be a good one. The Dreadnoks are 2-2, but they did lose to two perennial playoff teams in The Gods and Brantford. They are coming off back to back shutouts. Canberra, how the mighty have fallen. After winning season 2, then making the championship game in season 3, they seemed to have never have recovered from that loss. What is going on at Canberra. Can they turn it around? This game will mean a lot if they have any playoff plans this season.
Again, these are just my 5 star games. Just for fun and not meant to disrespect anyone. Just meant to spark some conversation.
