I thought i was missing out by having my own team of players... that whole human interaction thing

well... let me tell you... having all your own guys is so much easier..... this GMing thing is almost suicidal

No way. Laval consists of more than a dozen active live human beings. It allows for better game planning, better player builds, and an all around more enjoyable experience. If I just wanted to build a dynasty, I'd play Head Coach 09.

Its all about having the jobs split up. With how much time i have to put into recruiting each offseason if i had to run the offense and defense too i would have been burnt out by now.

Yaks...30 different agents on the squad...I love it...but it's hard to replace folks.

once the AI is setup.... game plan is fairly easy, but i have a little help for that

it is the initial setting of the AI inputs that required lots of time

My only bitch about the ai now is it takes over a minute to load and almost 2 minutes to update

now recruiting is something i do not appear to be very good at.....maybe i am to honest

Transfer your existing AI's to the other teams, the only reason I am able to own my own and GM this many teams is because I mainly just DC and I only make one base AI and then transfer it to all the teams at the beginning of the year. After that it is just a matter of doing a little game planning and making small adjustments.

The other important thing imo, is working with the same group of people, I have a lot of different agents on my team and same here on the Westwood Bruins, but we have probably 5-10 of them who have players or are GMs on both teams. If you get a group of guys together who are all coordinated within the various teams you get the best of both worlds; competent guys you can trust who make adjustments and you know they build good players.

Name removed for posterity... but seriously

an email i received went

I don't want to be on your team. You're a complete ass who has no idea how to play this game.

After I get traded to your team you might as well release me. Or I will only make your life hell.

I have no desire to play on your team, you have no idea how to play this game. You are a complete moron who thinks he has knowledge of football. You have no knowledge of anything.

Probably sit at home with your mother and watch Jeopardy all night. You're a loser and I want no affiliation with you or your sucky teams.

GET RID OF ME.

Of course man, there are Pro's and Con's to both. You don't have to really deal with the needs and wants of other Agents. Some of them can be flat out annoying. You try your best and all they do is complain and want to be the man. Its hard for some of them to understand what exactly is going on. On the other hand by having other players on your team your forums are active, you get personal opinions and views from other agents. You meet alot of new people you make good friends and build relationahips and loyalty. It all depends on what you want to do.

I saw someone doing that to a lower level team that couldn't afford to keep that player. So i traded for him and banned him from the forums and depth chart. Only took a week for him to start begging to be played or traded.

We have a guy on another team I GM for at CB. We have a 5-0 team and have been playing him at the #2 despite the fact he is the lowest level because he had a great build. He posted alot his first week or two on the team and then hasn't said a whole lot. Out of nowhere the other day he removes his equipment and starts demanding release...not a trade, a release! Now we are mid season and searching for the same theng EVERY team in GLB is searching for which we were already thin at! We gave him the moon on a team that is likely to win it all!

Glad I haven't had to deal with that here but it hurts just as bad because I am so entrenched in some of these other teams I am more like a co-owner and less of a GM. Why do people have to be like that?
