The Pro Bowl Explanation

Who Makes the Pro Bowl?
The most objective way to select the Pro-Bowlers is by the currently kept stats. The Suggested Way to select:
*Italics signify optional stats that would have to be added.

Now done easily on Greasemonkey: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/35527 by pabst
*Note that script is not 100% accurate; changes needed found at bottom of section. Score viewed on full season stat page.

Offense
QB: ((QB-Rating)+(TDs*3)+(Yards/12.5)-(INTs*3)-(FumLost*3))*Completion%)
HB: (TDs*3)+(Yards/12.5)-(FUML*3)+(Catches-Drops)+(RecTDs*4)+(RecYards/12.5)
FB: (Pancakes*2)+(TDs*3)+(Yards/12.5)-(FUML*3)+(Catches-Drops)+(RecTDs*4)+(RecYards/12.5)
OLine: (Pancakes/5)-(Sacks Allowed)
TE: (Pancakes*2)+(Catches-Drops)+(TDs*4)+(Yards/12.5)-(FumLost*3)
WR: (Catches-Drops)+(TDs*4)+(Yards/12.5)-(FumLost*3)

Defense
Dline; LB: (Tack-MissTack)+(Hurries)+(TFL*1.5)+(Sacks*2.5)+((FFum+INT)*3)+(FumR+Pass Def)+(TDs*6)+(Sfty*3.5)
DB: ((Tack-(MissTack+CatchAllowed))/4)+(Hurries+Sacks)+(TFL*2)+(FFum*3)+(INT*4)+((FumR+Pass Def)*2)+(TDs*6)+(Sfty*3.5)

Special Teams
K: (((FGs-MissFGs)*3)*FG%)+((PATMade-MissPAT)*PAT%)+(LongFG)
P: (PuntAVG)*(100*(Inside20-Touchbacks)/(Punts-15))+(LongPunt)
PR: ((PuntRet Yards+(PuntRetAVG*10)/(PuntRet-10))*6)+(RetTDs*9)+(LongRet)
KR: ((KickRet Yards+(KictRetAVG*10)/(KickRet-10))*6)+(RetTDs*9)+(LongRet)

In Event of Ties
Off- 1.TotTDs, 2.Yards
Def- 1.DefTDs, 2.Tackles
ST- 1.Points, 2.FG %
1.Punts, 2.Long Punt
1.RetTDs, 2.Yards

How will everyone get to play?
2 at each position (6@WR and CB) will be selected. At halftime the starters and backups flip-flop (CBs and WRs slide up, i.e.#4 WR is now #1).

When and where will it get played?
On Day 39 or Day 40, whichever is the alternate of the championship. Home team will be the conference of the team with the most net points.

Who will coach?
The CPU will use a 50/50, 0% auto-adjust. The coaches of the teams in the championship will choose an OT Depth Chart.

Ties?
Playoff Overtime rules will apply, so it would be Unlimited Sudden Death Overtime.

Player Awards
Pro Bowl MVP may be given out using the MVP formula below (once it has been determined) and each participant will receive a Pro Bowl icon in their award section.

League Awards
In addition to League Leader Awards, hand out a Best at each position using the Pro Bowl Formulas. The Best Offensive/Defensive Players formula, along with MVP, would have to be decided after we see the difference in the points in the above formulas over a whole season.

Please post any suggestions, comments, and ideas and I'll tweak the original idea.

Greasemonkey Fixes
1. SScore(season) at the top only displays Passing, Rushing, etc. score.
- does not factor in FumL for any one;
- No receiving nor blocking stats added to score at top for HB, FB, TE
2.CScore (career) adds the totals in each category in career row.
QB
- In 3rd row, you'll see passingScore(arr). Scroll left until you see score = score* (arr)["Pct"]/100). Remove the /100 to get official score.
KR/PR; Punters
- The formula is completely wrong due to some changes.
- Any stat that is not recorded on the Full Season Stats is not included in formula.

This is sweet!

I love it! You thought there was trash talk and ME, ME, ME type players around GLB before...LOL, you "aint" seen nothing yet.

This can only help the TEAM oriented teams IMO. "Some" teams will focus on plans to get their player stats. Not saying here, but there are teams in GLB that will relish this opportunity.

It is a cool addition to the game though and an easy formula to figure it out.

The Prima donnas will definitely come out now.....ooops, I said prima donna (this thread is now bound for glory)

Yeah, I think it's pretty cool how you get a career pro bowl number as well.

My highest for single season is my OT 486 back in season 2.

Yeah lol. This is really helpful though for some people who like to take stats into account, but don't know how they should weigh one stat against another.

I've had the script installed since last year, but I haven't seen any progress made in the actual game/trophies.

My only problem with something like this is that it also takes into account games against gutted teams, especially ones where a team decides to, say, run on every single down and stat pad for an RB.

It would be nice if it could only take into account stats against, say, playoff teams within your division. And if anything like this became official, it makes signing anyone in a non major role on a team really hard. Who wants to be the backup WR when they can go to a team and be the #1 to rack up stats and pro bowl trophies?

And then we come back to the draft. Which I'm a huge fan of. I also am of the opinion that if a player can't be placed on a team and he is over say... 32 he goes into auto retirement!

Sucks right? Well it would keep teams from not getting players.

And... let the flaming begin!

Bingo.
There are already enough people out there that want to be "THE MAN".

Im glad I play on a TEAM first mentality team. We have three rbs that could be PRO bowlers somewhere, but the gold trophy means more to them than the individual stuff.

Gutted teams and weak leagues will inflate stats, and some PRO bowlers that will be demanding things when FA's will be very misleading.

I am, thankfully, in a similar position with Samoa. I'm infinitely thankful for players like Caleb who have come over to be the #5 WR here when they were formerly a #1, among many others. But there are a ton of teams that aren't like that, and all of those teams would end up quitting. GLB would be worse off.

I'd rather see the Pro Bowl be a vote based thing for part of the roster, and stats for the other part of the roster. That way, we can vote in players we feel deserved it without having the stats, but the stats also hold some weight.

Well, we at least do one for Oceania each season, where each team nominates their own players from their team...then it is voted on. Last season was the first season we didnt get it going, but it will happen this year. At least we have that. It is better to be recognized by your peers that can see the whole picture, rather than just all the crazy numbers.
