Okay here are the rankings after game 4. Here is what I went by for now, at least until I get to know these teams better:
1) Record or win/loss
2) Strength of roster

LW = Last Weeks ranking

You may or may not agree with them, but this is how I see them.

****POWER RANKINGS****

#1 Impending Doom (4-0) LW 2 - A big win over a pretty solid Detroit team pushes them past the Pigs into the #1 spot. They have a big test in #3 Taipei up next.

#2 Pretoria Pigs (4-0) LW 1 - Two close wins over teams that they should have blown away on paper doesn't make them look as good compared to the Doom. Are there chinks in the armor of this team? I'm putting them at #2 this time.

#3 Taipei Little Fish Rangers (4-0) LW 3 - The Little Fish Rangers devastated the Face Eaters 126-0. They get a chance to prove they belong in the Elite club if they can get a win over Impending Doom next game.

#4 Texas Armadillos (3-1) LW 6 - If I had to pick the two teams that would be in the conference title game right now I would have to pick Impending Doom and this team, the Texas Armadillos. They are solid and have good depth. They move up to #4 with a strong win over the Brotherhood.

#5 Banghazi Barbary Lions (3-1) LW 7 - Well a surprise win over the Bulls moves them up two spots to number 5. The two bot teams are their next two opponents, so don't look for them to fall out of the top five for any time soon.

#6 The African Predators (2-2) LW 9 - A huge win over the Desert Foxes shoots them back to #6. They could get three more wins before facing Impending Doom in game 8. They are looking like a play off team already and possibly a contender.

#7 Detroit Drive-by (2-2) LW 5 - The Drive-By was more like a Drive-Thru in their game against the Doom, giving up 54 points in that game.
"Hello, welcome to Detroit Drive-Thru. May I take your order?"
"Yes, I'll take 5 or 6 TD's, with a shit load of rushing yards and Super Size it please."

#8 Nigerian Nightmares (2-2) LW 10 - Well the Nightmares played the Eagles like they were turkeys. They get the Drive-By next, should be a real good test for them.

#9 Zimbabwe Bulls (2-2) LW 4 - Well like Trazer said, this could be where the Bulls lack of depth comes into play. They'll need to get some to keep their post season hopes alive. A win next game should buy them some time though.

#10 Algeria Desert Foxes (1-3) LW 8 - How they got simply blown away by the Predators only the Predators know. But they get the White Tigers next so that will ease their pain of this big loss.

#11 Lagos Eagles (1-3) LW 11 - Two big losses in a row keep the Eagles from climbing any higher right now. But they get the Bulls next, so maybe a chance there to get a win and move up.

#12 Strong Badia Tires (0-4) LW 12 - Well the Tires almost pulled off an upset over Pretoria and face the Predators next. Better put on a new set of treads to get the upset win over Africa.

#13 Zulu Brotherhood (0-4) LW 13 - Facing the Pigs and Predators in the next two games could mean an 0-6 start for the Brotherhood. If that happens they could be known as the Sisterhood for the rest of the season.

#14 Rwanda HellFish (2-2) LW14 - Well the Hellfish beat rival CPU team Djibouti in the Battle Of The Bots. That could be all the wins for them.

#15 Zanzibar Face-Eaters (0-4) LW 15 - Unless Zanzi-bot gets to recruiting fast, there season is pretty much over as of four games ago. Don't give up Face Eaters and good luck in season 7.

#16 Djibouti White Tigers (0-4) LW 16 - 0-4 and no human players will keep them at the bottom for the rest of the season.

*****PREDICTIONS*****

Well I went 5-3 last set of games. Hopefully this next set I'll do better........or worse depending who you are.

Week 4: 5-3

#2 Pretoria Pigs (4-0) at #13 Zulu Brotherhood (0-4) = Pretoria - Come on now. Even dropping to #2, the Pigs should beat the Brotherhood in their sleep.
Game Rating: 2/6 Beers

#3 Taipei Little Fish Rangers (4-0) at #1 Impending Doom (4-0) = Impending Doom - Here's a big game for both teams, probably #1 at stake here. But giving the edge to the Doom.
Game Rating: 6/6 Beers

#5 Banghazi Barbary Lions (3-1) at #14 Rwanda Hellfish (2-2) = Banghazi - Aww come on! Do I really have to explain this pick?
Game Rating: 1/6

#4 Texas Armadillos (3-1) at #15 Zanzibar Face Eaters (0-4) = Texas - No explanation needed.
Game Rating: 1/6 Beers

#11 Lagos Eagles (1-3) at #9 Zimbabwe Bulls (2-2) = Zimbabwe - After their loss to Banghazi, I'm starting to believe what Bulls owner Trazer said that their lack of depth might hinder them this season. But Lagos hasn't fared too well either. Still gonna give the edge to the Bulls though.
Game Rating: 3/6 Beers

#7 Detroit Drive-By (2-2) at #8 Nigerian Nightmares (2-2) = Detroit - This will be a good game. I'm still going with Detroit in this one though.
Game Rating: 5/6 Beers

#6 African Predators (2-2) at #12 Strong Badia Tires (0-4) = African Predators - Strong Badia showed something in their game against Pretoria, but not enough. Go with the Predators.
Game Rating: 4/6

#10 Algeria Desert Foxes (1-3) at #16 Djibouti White Tigers (0-4) = Algeria - No comment.
Game Rating: 1/6 Beers

*Game Of The Week*
#3 Taipei Little Fish Rangers (4-0) at #1 Impending Doom (4-0)= #3 and #1 go at it tooth and nail. Are you ready for some football?!

23/48 beers. Not as good as last time, but still enough to keep us buzzed through another set of games. Make sure you get your beer runs done in time for the GOTW. Happy drinking fellas'.

Good luck to all the teams in Lion Conference!

Remember, this is all just for fun. It really doesn't mean a thing.

I'm flattered, but I still don't think I have the best team in the conference.

Impending doom has never beaten the Pigs and going to have to do that to stay number 1. I love the predictions even though my team is dropping =)

These former Africa A teams are bringing the heat with much lower levels.

Like the Predators, who look like they're pretty much a one-user army.

One user, or nearly all one user armies are a bitch to play against, and when done well, are a juggernaut. It's never long before they move up. They don't have to recruit as much, have control of all the builds, have control of all they advanced tactics. I've never complained about them, that's how the game works, I've known some good owners of them, but they do have an advantage in recruitment and coordination.

I think it will be a trade off between Doom and the Pigs over the #1 spot for the rest of the season.
The Doom has to play Taipei next and the Pigs/Doom game is in game 8 i think, so it's not far off. Unless Taipei beats Doom, i don't see anyone else getting in the way of that game deciding the #1 spot prolly for the rest of the season.

Nice job Smiling.
BTW, One team in particular is highly overrated and time will prove it.

No disrespect to the Doom but if they are the best team in Lion the Lion conference may be in trouble this season.

Hey Rogue, you're everywhere tonight. I just saw you in Siberia, lol.
I think it's clear at this point that Lion is not the strong side of the league but the games still get played and who knows. 11 weeks remaining in reg season can also change a number of things!
Next season the Lion Conference, and all of AA4 for that matter, will be in trouble for other reasons

Whatever the advantage or not, every team certainly has the same opportunity to build a team in that manner. You can as well; cough up the scratch and it's yours

There is no reason that a Lion team can't win the championship and Pretoria has a solid roster and talent wise I believe them to be the best team in the league it just seems that they have struggled a little bit early on and if we make it to the championship and play the Doom we definitely won't be sleeping on them. I'd be worried if we had to play the Predators next season when they close the level gap some.

I prefer having multiple agents on my team, makes it more interesting.

If I had the scratch I would, but you see, it's a choice between Food, Gas, Guitars, Clothing and GLB. GLB gets the short end of that budget.

And I'm with DarkRogue - this is an MMORPG, dammit! Interaction with other human beings is part of the point. :3

I believe that, as I stated, "I've never complained about them, that's how the game works" but it's still an advantage, I never said it was an unfair one.
