The Congo Gorillas get trounced by Tijuana Thundercats but, score 76 points!?!?!
Led by a mysterious cpu QB Jacob Stein. Who threw for a record shattering 917 yards on 38 completions in a single Game. Whats even more amazing was he also threw 11 TD completions. His favorite target this afternoon was fellow cpu TE Joaquin Farley who caught 14 passes for 507 yards and 7 TD's. Whats odd about this story Line is that both players are in the final years of there contracts.
I had the luxury of catching up with the Congo Gorillas Owner; bear4life21. I asked him if he knew what he had in these 2 players and if yesterdays performance was enough to get them extensions.
Well, GLB football is a team sport; without the other 9 guys out there doing there jobs Jacob and Joaquin wouldn't have been able to do there's. yes Jacob and Joaquin had amassed some decent numbers. What allowed that to happen was purely bad game planning by Tijuana GM's and Coaches. Quite frankly let this be a warning to the other teams in the African AAA League. You may score on us but if you don't watch out we may have a surprise for you. Don't take us lightly or we might be awarded an upset win; And your team will be the laughing stock of the league for years to come.
Whether today's performance guarantees contract extensions for Jacob and Joaquin? I cant say for certain. Lets take it one day at a time.
If Jacob and Joaquin go unsigned I can say that they will enter Free Agency as hot targets and will command big contracts.
