Ok, so I am getting an idea of who is who now. Thanks for the help with the recommendations guys. Some teams still need to play a tough team to really get how good they are. Assassins, you guys are a solid team and I actually think you should end up pretty high on the board at the end, but I can't get away with putting an 0-2 team on at this point. Tradewest skyrockets because of a solid victory over the Assassins last week and the duplication of the 255 on the Huskies. Not many big games this week. Sorry this got up so late. Time for lunch now though! All this writing made me hungry...

1. Tradewest Battletoads (2-0) - Tradewest catapults up the rankings to number 1 on a crushing win over the Listowel Huskies. They put up a staggering 978 yards offensively and held the Huskies to 13 total yards. After being left off the Power 10 last week, the Battletoads clearly made a strong case for the top spot this week.
Up Next: at Moose Jaw Mac Attack

2. Yellowknife Rented Mules (2-0) - It was back to back blowout games for the Rented Mules, as they robbed the Hustlas for 107 points, leaving only 3 for the losing team to avoid a shutout. Though this game was a little bit more of a competition for the Rented Mules, they dominated in all aspects of the game. Mike Triplett might be on his way to an MVP caliber season after leading the offense bludgeoning, posting 270 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground. The defense was stout as well, holding the Lancaster Hustlas to negative rushing yards, and racking up 5 sacks and 4 interceptions. It could be a while before Yellowknife faces some real competition.
Up Next: at Blackrock Reapers

3. Nova Scotia Snakes (2-0) - Nova Scotia pulled off a close win against the severely underrated Assassins, with the final score of 34-31. Justin Michaels handled the load between the 20's, tallying 187 yards on 27 carries, while BOB THE BRICK took it to the painted grass, nabbing two touchdowns to add to his 75 yards. Nova Scotia won the turnover battle, with Ram Peters and Harvey Blake grabbing a pick a piece, and coasted to victory on a comfortable 17 point fourth quarter lead. With their tough rushing defense and stout offensive attack, the Snakes are going to be tough to beat moving forward.
Up Next: at Philadelphia Legends

4. Gaffney Indians (2-0) - Gaffney wailed on the Lethbridge Fighters, finishing up 63-21 against their overmatched foe. The defense had it out for quarterback Jack Skellington, sacking him 6 times and picking off another 4 balls. CB Doof is Your Daddy had a stellar day, taking one of his three interceptions to the house. Gaffney's Dig It had a nearly flawless performance, connecting with over 80% of his passes for 393 yards and 3 touchdowns. With this impressive win, Gaffney has showed themselves to be a force in the deep Western Conference.
Up Next: at Listowel Huskies

5. Thunder Bay Sabertooths (2-0) - The Sabertooths closed the door on what looked to be an amazing comeback by the Kodiaks, winning 38-37 with a field goal in the last minute. Thunder Bay abandoned the run early, with General Zod throwing the ball early and often. He threw a pair of 80 yard touchdowns on the way to a 380 yard performance. The Sabertooth defense was saved by the clock, with the Kodiaks using some curious rushing calls to get the ball to the Sabertooth 40 yard line in a last ditch effort to steal the win back before running out of time. The Sabertooths are entering a tough three game stretch which will tell if they really deserve their number 5 ranking.
Up Next: at Laval Lumberjacks

6. Memphis Maulers (2-0) - The Memphis Maulers should be having moose for dinner, after taking it to the Moose Jaw Mack Attack for an 80-7...well...mauling. A stout defensive performance which allowed only 102 yards for the Mac Attack and turned 30 pass attempts into 10 sacks was overshadowed by the performance of HB Ahmad Galloway who turned a staggering 36 carries into 329 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Maulers, one of the preseason favorites to win the West, are making a strong case and don't look to remain in the 6th spot for long.
Up Next: at Grise Fjord ^^^Kodiaks^^^

7. Hamilton Lightning (2-0) - The Lightning cruised to a solid 61-20 victory over the Swamp Donkeys. It was the special teams of the Hamilton Lightning that decided the outcome of the game, with CB Marcus Baby Boy turning three kickoff returns into 210 yards and 2 touchdowns and HB Darnell Jefferson making the most of his six punt returns with 170 yards and 1 touchdown. HB Lukas Omelanczuk quietly added another 3 touchdowns and 151 yards to cap off the game. With such a dominant return team, the Lightning might not even need an offense to win games this season.
Up Next: Sackville Blitz

8. B.K. Thunderbirds (2-0) - The Thunderbirds outmuscled a Shasta McNasties team, adding a W to their record with a 98-0 shutout. Offensively, the Thunderbirds outgained their opponents 791 yards to 59. QB Jack Oneil had a stellar game, with 376 yards and 3 touchdowns. But it was HB Trigonopsis Variabilis' 272 yards and 9 touchdowns on the ground which get the spotlight. With such a balanced attack, the Thunderbirds look tough to beat. They are going to need all the wins they can get with a very tough middle portion of their schedule looming ahead.
Up Next: Lethbridge Fighters

9. Laval Lumberjacks (2-0) - It remains to be seen how long the Lumberjacks will remain on the Power 10 after winning against a very pedestrian Saskatchewan Limas team, 56-10. QB Mister Mann spread the love, sending 7 touchdown passes to 6 different receivers while piling up 427 yards through the air. Christopher Pickens added another 173 yards on 26 carries to keep the offense balanced. The Lumberjack defense tallied 6 sacks and shut the running game of the Limas down, holding them to negative yards. The Lumberjacks face a brutal four game stretch, with all four teams ranked highly on the Power 10.
Up Next: Thunder Bay Sabertooths

10. Westlake Rams (2-0) - The Westlake Rams rushing attack led the way to a 49-10 victory over the Toronto Storm. Both Johnny Justice and Bran mac Llyg topped the century mark while eating up the clock running behind a dominant offensive line led by Doug Weaver and his 17 pancakes, keeping Westlake in control of the game from the first play. FS Buzz McGraw showed up to play. He capped a 7 tackle and 1 forced fumble performance with an interception returned for a touchdown. With a big game against the Yellowknife Rented Mules next week, the Rams had better start game-planning early.
Up Next: Lincoln Lucky

On the bubble: S.W.O. Swamp Donkeys (1-1), Niagara Assassins (0-2), Grise Fjord ^^^Kodiaks^^^ (1-1)

West Game of the Week: Thunder Bay Sabertooths (2-0) vs. Laval Lumberjacks (2-0)

East Game of the Week: Niagara Assassins (0-2) vs. S.W.O. Swamp Donkeys (1-1)

These write ups are well done, thanks for taking the time.

Westlake does look to be the most improved team in our conference this season.

Don't expect one next week guys. It's going to be the weekend, and I will be enjoying REAL football, especially my Dolphins taking another step towards the Super Bowl!

I think the Indians have it over Laval in the West. They look like a very solid team. Laval is going to run into trouble the next four weeks. I wouldn't be surprised to see them at 2-4 after the next 4. They might step up though.

I'd say top three (my OPINION and gut feeling) are Tradewest, Gaffney, and Yellowknife. Haven't seen enough of Memphis, but they look strong as well.

Have a great weekend all. Imbibe much!

We're going to try our best to win this season . We have some tough ones coming now, hopefully we'll earn the respect everyone is giving us. We haven't proven anything yet. My top three are Gaffney, Yellowknife and Westwood. Thanks for taking your time to do these when your able. I couldn't even begin to be as creative and these ranking are much appreciated by the entire league .

Thanks
Mike
