I plan on continuing to do the league projector after the spreadsheet gets a few more games of data but until then I will try a power ranking for the West as no one else has tried. As you are all too lazy to give it a go I reserve the right to put your team wherever the hell I want and you can kiss my avatars ass if you have got a problem with that

1. Cold Lake Wolverines

2 cupcakes to start with hasn't revealed a lot about the Wolverines. They should be 8-0 by the time the Sasquatches role into town in week 9.

2. Vinland Vikings

Easily disposed of 2 middle of the road teams to start the season. 1st real test will come against Calgary Thunder in week 5.

3. Saskatchewan Sasquatches

Tough opening loss against the Caballeros but bounced back impressively by reversing last season's regular season loss to the Revelstoke Revolution. Avoided costly turnovers in that game and got back into the championship hunt.

4. Calgary Thunder

Good start to the season edges Thunder up this high. Will be tested in the next 2 but should come through unscathed. Vikings in week 5 will be a test of their mettle.

5. Revelstoke Revolution

Tough loss against the Sasquatches pushes Revolution out of the big 4 for now. Should recover in their next 3 games before facing a tough game agains the Vikings in week 6.

6. Greenland Smokers

1st of the new faces to make an appearance in the rankings. Solid victory to open the season was followed up with an impressive victory against Toronto Smoke. Will still need to improve to break into the top 5. Have a good game with Moose Head Thundering Herd to get through before they get to prove where this team is at when they face off against the Vikings in week 4.

7. New Orleans Ghost Riders

Tough opening loss was followed up by a close win against one of the up and coming new boys. This team just missed out on the playoffs last season so this spot may be a little high for them. The next 5 games will prove whether they are pretenders or not. They should win all 5 before facing off against the Wolverines in week 8.

8. Northside Juggernauts

Not sure what to make of this team. They have started 2-0 and earned some respect but chemistry obviously helped in the victory over Moose Head Thundering Herd. They are outlevelled by a lot of the teams around them in the rankings but I like seeing an underdog defying the odds so go Juggernauts. Tough game in week 4 against the Wolverines may be 1 game too many for this team but I'm sure they would be over the moon if they hold onto the 8th spot all season and make the playoffs.

9. Saskatoon Shredders

Again another tough team to read. I'm not sure their undefeated start is a true reflection of how good or bad this team actually is. They were up and down last season as well. They haven't faced any competition yet so it will be interesting to see how they do against the no.8 undefeated Juggernauts.

10. In San Jose Pimpin Aint Easy

The pimps have faced 2 good playoff calibre teams in their 2 games but these are games that the Pimps need to show more of themselves in. I expect them to make a push for the playoffs this season after threatening last season. Tough start continues with Calgary Thunder and Revelstoke Revolution the next couple of games. Could be 0-4 and in a hole to start the season. If they are wise they will follow the St. John's Salty Dogs blueprint from a couple of seasons ago when they also had a tough start.

11. Mont-Joli Mooseknuckles

Another new team that I believe has the tools to make a run at the playoffs once their chemistry recovers. Have played 2 Canada A6 holdovers from last season and have won 1 and lost 1 by 3 points. I expect to see this team rise up the rankings with a few hard fought victories and they may even surprise 1 or 2 big dogs on the way there. Despite being outlevelled they appear to have good tactics and builds (tactics + builds > levels)

12. Moose Head Thundering Herd

I hope for their sake that going out and getting a lot of high level players was worth the chemistry hit and that they understand the point made in the ranking above them. I will have to see better results on the field befoer moving this team any higher.

13. Toronto Smoke

They must have got over excited seeing all the fresh meat entering the league in the offseason. Unfortunately for the Smoke a tough start is going to be tough to recover from. It doesn't get any easier over the next 3 weeks a home tie with Calgary Thunder sandwiched between 2 visits to the Vikings and Revolution. Expect this team to start 0-5 and struggle to make a run for the playoffs.

14. Kelowna Outlaws

This team was one of the whipping boys of A6 last season and nothing much seems to have changed. Hopefully they can show some pride and pull out a few victories to give their fans in that tiny stadium something to cheer about.

15. Blood Bowl

Another team that is going to find it tough for a season before they find their feet in season 7. This should be a learning curve for them but if they can stick it out they should have a good shot at the playoffs next season.

16. Thunder Bay Hibernators

What are they doing in this league? Get your ass back down to BBB ASAP. Enough said.

Very good write up. I think us Smokers may be ranked a bit high though.

Great job rmc007 much appreciated. While we appreciate the honor at the top, we know that the top 3 could be anybody's guess at this point in the season.
