I am stepping in with predictions this week, since Uppnorth10 doesnt have the time. I obviously dont know the league, and teams, as well and its hard to learn much from 1 league game involving new tactical options. I will do my best tho, and hope i dont step on any toes on the way heh
As always, I wont predict my own team's game
Lion:
2 very interesting games this week in LION, so i have opted for 2 GOTW's
Malagasy Bushmen at African Fire
The Bushmen took a tough beating at the hands of the Crocs last week, with both the passing and rushing D looking to have big problems. Sure, Cairo Crocs are projected to be one of the very best teams in the league this year, but allowing 86 pts must have hurt, and hopefully the DC has been working hard to straighten out the flaws. This week they travel Wildfire Stadium, to face off against the African Fire. AF completely annihilated the newly taken over SL Headshrinkers last game, and they go into this game with high confidence, and a home crowd cheering them on in anticipation of a continued winning streak to start the season. Look out for another great game by Troy Veltre. AF has to be favorites here, but at this point in the tournament nothing is a given.
AF wins 52-21
Katanga Diamonds at Cape Verde HeadhuntersGAME OF THE WEEK#1
This game should be a blast, with 2 of the projected top contenders squaring off. Katanga had a huge win against the Bastards, while Katanga beat up on the new kids from Swaziland. Both teams are full of confidence, and this really is a game neither team can afford loosing, as it will mean being set back compared to the rest of the top already in week 2. Cape Verde has the home field advantage, and with the win against EEORG is slight favorites. It is anyone's game tho, and it could very well be decided at the very end.
Cape Verde wins 31-27
Freetown Palookas at Atlantic Blue Jays
The Blue Jays had an easy start to the season, and made short work of the Wildebeest. Their passing offense looked very potent, so Freetown's secondary should have a busy day. Freetown are one of the teams promoted from the A leagues, and had a rough welcome by the Assassins resulting in a 17-40 loss. The passing was what killed Freetown in that game, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Blue Jays take the favorite role here, but they wont have to make many mistakes for a minor upset to happen here.
Blue Jays doesnt disappoint their home fans, winning 42-27
Red Sea Wave at Warriors of AnubisGAME OF THE WEEK#2
Another great game in store here, featuring the strongest projected team in the league, and the newcomers from WoA. WoA impressed in week 1 with a 57-6 win against the Rhinos from Zimbabwe. A strong statement, and the fruit of the roster modifications done in the off-season. This game should prove a much bigger challenge tho, and it will be very interesting to see if they can pull of the surprise. RSW also had a big win in week 1, stomping Casablanca 63-7. With a loaded roster and some very talented coordinators this should be a great season for RSW, and a loss today isn't part of the plan. WoA wont go down easy, but anything but a win for RSW would be a surprise to most.
RSW takes it home, 47-31
Band of Brothers at Rhein Main Magic Mushrooms
BoB goes into this game as big favorites against a Rhein Main team that looks to be a bit under par so far. Rhein Main had a close loss against the Shinobis last week, and looks to have another tough game ahead of them. They cant afford a single mistake if they want a chance to win this, so focus will be key. BoB had a close win against the new kids from RMoG, a win that will prove more of an accomplishment than most think atm. Tactics looks sharp, and the players execute the plays well. Looking good for sure.
BoB wins comfortably 52-21
White Nile Piranha at Scottish Sharks
The Piranhas are another new team coming up from the A's, and are one of the few teams who haven't made any improvements to their roster. That could mean a 1st season in the AA's that wont result in a high placement, but they have a solid squad and shouldn't be taken lightly. They lost to the LM Cannibals last week in a hard fought game, and are looking to get on the right track. If White Nile needs ideas for how to win against the Sharks, they need only look to the Sharks' week 1 game. They took a somewhat embarrassing 21-61 beating against the Dakar Dragons, another newly promoted team. Loosing to 2 newcomers in the first 2 weeks wont look good at all, and the fans at The Shark Bowl will settle for nothing but a show of strength.
Sharks shakes of the shock from week 1, winning 35-17
Ethiopia Executioners at Kilimanjaro Kamikaze
Both these teams got beat big in week 1, altho by very good team. The winner here today will likely be the team who's coaching staff has done the best job at correcting the playbook. Very hard to tell these teams' real strength based on the week 1 game, and both teams seem to have potential to get much better results than those games reflect. Ethiopia has to be slight favorites as the most experienced team, but this is a real tough cookie
I'll make this my Pick 'Em of the week
Pick 'Em
Elephant:
All of the games except RMoG vs Zimbabwe are games between winners and losers from week 1, so should have some interesting standings after this round.
Serengeti Wildebeest at Zanzibar Leopards
Not much to say here, other than this should be a comfortable win for the Leopards. The Wildebeest got kicked around out by the Blue Jays last week, while Zanzibar did some kickin' of their own against Ethiopia. It would be a big surprise if this game is anything but one sided, and the Leopards should get a W streak started here.
Zanzibar wins 65-10
Sierra Leone Headshrinkers at Cairo Crocodiles
Another predictable game here, with the Crocs taking the favorite role. The Headshrinkers (Formerly Magicians) are under new management, and look to have a rough season rebuilding the team, and with a 9-94 loss last week doesnt look to stand much of a chance against the onslaught of Cairo. Cairo hung 86 on the Malagasy in week 1, and this could potentially be more genocide than sports event.
Crocs by 105-23
Richmond Raiders at Casablanca White Houses
The Raiders are seeded #2 in their conference, even tho they are one of the promoted A teams. They have signed almost a full squad of seasoned Pro league players, and look very strong as a result. Casablanca got beat bad by RSW last week, and with Richmond in week 2 has to take the prize for toughest opening schedule. Richmond are big favorites and shouldn't have too much trouble getting their 2nd win of the season.
Richmond wins 61-13
Dakar Dragons at Trinidad Trojans
The Dragons impressed everyone in week 1 with a crushing 61-21 win against the Sharks. As a treat, they get to play the cupcakes from Trinidad. Lol game of the week
*Insert silly game-score here*
EEORG Bastards at Lake M'Zumba Cannibals GAME OF THE WEEK#1
Huge game here between the self proclaimed favorites from EEORG and the Cannibals of Lake M'Zumba. EEORG didnt get the start to the season they expected, as they ran into a defeat already in week 1 at the hands of the Headhunters. Another loss already would cause an outcry amongst the fans, so everything should be tightened up for this game. The Cannibals had a comfortable week 1 win against the Piranhas, but will have to play even better to stand against a talented Bastards team. The Bastards are favorites despite the current table standings, and they are hungry to get their season on the right track.
EEORG wins 47-30
Cairo Cannibals at Rwanda Assassins
The Cannibals lost the game between the A#1 and A#2 champions in a tough fought game to start of the season, and are looking to get things on the right track against the Assassins. The Assassins have their eyes on the prix“ze aswell tho, and with a thorough beating of another of the promoters last week look to have a good chance here today. The Cannibals have a good squad, and have made some strong additions to their roster during the off-season, but the Assassins have to be favorites.
Rwanda wins a close game 27-21
Cape Town Shinobis at Swaziland Semnikati
Cape Town started of with a very close win against Rhein Main, in a game with not too much pretty football but a whole lot of intensity. Swaziland on the other hand had a less pleasant experience, getting their A***s handed to them by Katanga. Swaziland, like White Nile, haven't made any changes to their roster, and that could prove to be decisive in many games. The Semnikati has a very talented coaching staff tho, and I'm sure they wont give Cape Town an easy time. This will be my Pick 'Em for the Elephant conf.
Pick 'Em
Zimbabwe Black Rhinos at Real Men of Genius
The Rhinos had a tough loss at the hands of WoA last week, and this game features another promoter, RMoG. RMoG played a close game against the very talented BoB, and are amongst the best of the A teams, even with minimal roster changes. The Rhino's Depth just wont cut it, and RMoG shouldn't have too much trouble winning this one.
RMoG wins 67-20

As always, I wont predict my own team's game
