Rank, Team Name, Record, Change from Last Week, Outlook
1. The Last Gunfighters of Texas (7-0) (+1) - I never wanted to have to edit this spot, but it's time I did. They successfully ended LOL's winning streak at 30 (I guess thats payback for ending their regular season streak last year). Regardless of how many people complain about Elephant being a 1 team league, it might be time to start opening up your eyes a bit. TLGoT are clearly the real deal and likely will finish this season up at 16-0. I'm a little bitter right now but I look forward to a playoff rematch.
2. Lake Opeta Legionnaires (6-1) (-1) - Lost a heart breaker today. 15 missed tackles in a single game isn't going to win you many matchups...losing the turnover battle won't help much either.
3. Zambia Zombies (5-2) (0) - Beat a CPU Fight Club to keep building on their record. At 5-2 and with momentum in their favor it will be hard to beat the rest of the season.
4. Sierra Leone Stallions (6-1) (0) - Huge game today and came out with a huge win. Angola was nipping at their heels in the standings and luckily their win against them helped distance themselves from the mid level playoff pack. A win next week against a 6-1 Cairo team and the hotseat starts falling even farther from the #4 ranking.
----The Hotseat----
5. Cairo Emperors (6-1) (0) - Even though they played a "possibly about to move to CPU" Durban team today like I always say a win is a win. Their 6-1 record places them among the top of the mid tier playoff teams. A win next week might just be their 1 way ticket out of the hotseat and into the elite elephant teams.
6. Angola Blood Diamonds (5-2) (0) - Despite picking up a L today it was against one of Elephants best teams so it won't move them in my standings. Next week they face off against Elephants best team currently. And heres a surprise, it's not the Legionnaires.
7. Gold Coast Corsairs (5-2) (0) - Dropped 181 points on a human controlled Tangiers team today. Hey guys you know they have a "kneel" function in the playbooks now right? Damn you guys killed them. Well done, if I had to try my best to look into the future I'd say you'll be ranked #6 maybe even #5 in these standings next week.
8. Babylon Bombshells (4-3) (0) - Solid win against a good Morocco team. I don't want to say this team has lost it's mojo but I feel like last year they would have blown out that exact same Morocco team. Regardless they are still a playoff team and still very dangerous to any team they face.
9. Russian Tractor (3-4) (0) - Lost to Cleveland today in a game that they really needed to win. You can't let the teams ranked below you beat you, thats a sure way to kill playoff hopes. I don't want to overstate anything but their matchup against Gold Coast next week could make or break their season.
----End Hotseat----
10. Cleveland Bombers (3-4) (+1) - I know it makes no sense you beat Tractor but remain below them. Right now Tractor has proved a bit more this season and thats why they stay where they are. If you can string together a few more wins like that then I'll have no problems bumping you up a bit.
11. Morocco Camels (3-4) (-1) - Tough loss today to a very good Babylon team. They did however play the Bombshells pretty close which is a good thing. The season isn't going to get any easier though.
12. Durban Donkeys (1-6) (0) - Thinking about going the CPU route...unfortunate but likely.
13. Tangiers Cape Buffalo (1-6) (0) - If Durban does go CPU guess who gets spot #12 on these rankings, thats right....Tangiers.
14. Liberia Hornhuskers (1-6) (0) - Well done Liberia. A win against Fight Club and it looks like you live to fight another day. Congrats.
15. Ghana Rhea Infection (0-7) (0) - Still not trying
16. Fight Club (0-7) (0) - Boring
Game of the Week
Emperors vs. Stallions
In a battle of 6-1 teams someone is going to have to come out the winner. The Stallions just finished beating up a 5-1 Angola team so they may be up for a repeat performance. Either way this game is huge for either teams standings going into the playoffs.
