I cannot commit to doing this all season, but if we dont start doing these, LTD will start thinking we miss him.

1) Tripoli Terror: Season 5 Record: 13-3
The lone team to beat BBE last season. Until someone steps up and beats them this season, they belong here despite a playoff letdown.

2) E'ci Falkruns: Season 5 Record: 12-4
Their playoff victory over the Terror earn them this spot. If giving each E'ci and Tripoli the #1 spot didn't lead to suggestions that I was just trying to avoid hurting someone's feelings, I'd have them each at the top spot to begin the season and until one of them loses.

3) Iowa Fortress: Season 5 Record: 14-2
Despite victories over Tripoli and E'ci last season, an upset loss in the playoffs to a Wachootoo team they beat 27-6 in the regular season has forced my hand to placing my beloved Fortress here.

4) Khodumodumo's Revenge: Season 5 Record: 10-6
After a crushing defeat to Britney's Browneye Eaters in last season's playoffs, the Revenge have still managed a top 5 spot leading into this season. They've had disappointing losses every season which makes this squad tough to predict, but if there's ever a season to establish yourself, this is the one. There's rumors of growing dissention amongst the Revenge's supporters, with some wearing Iowa Fortress shirts under their fall jackets, and others walking through town with goats on leashes.

5) MaRAWK!! o: Season 5 Record: 10-6
The MaRAWKolypse is at hand! Everyone rejoice! MaRAWK and their fanfare of goats have earned a preseason top 5 rank! Not much else to say here, other than I'd have them higher, but their offseason upgrades appear to be far and few between.

6) Shawnee Whiskey Tango: Season 5 Record: 1-15
The Whiskey Tango are a newcomer to AA3, and I like the appearance of their starting group at least. Good enough for a top 8 spot, but not a top 5 until they earn it, which they may do.

7) Dakar Lightning: Season 5 Record: 6-10
A favorite of mine to watch for awhile now, they've been on a steady pace of rebuilding and I think this is the season they are rewarded with a playoff birth. I see no reason to suspect any of the newcomers, with the exception of maybe the Shawnee, should beat them. I think Dakar has a few upset specials up their sleeve this season as well if their game planning is dead on.

8) The Chad Ocho Cinco: Season 5 Record: 16-0
The Chad earn the final preseason playoff prediction spot at number 8. They have a roster with less average experience than everyone else, but with talent in the right places to ensure them the victory or two necessary to lock up a final playoff spot. They'll get rocked for sure by anyone 5th place or higher though. Once in the playoffs though, anything is possible, and this should be a goal for their management.

On the bubble (Anything can happen here to earn a 7th or 8th place spot): Cairo Scorpions, Free For All Elite, Cairo Cougars, Mozambique Chiefs, Ethiopia Famine

On the outside looking in: Happy Hour, New World Order, Springfield Isotopes

Just doing my best to make this list up with many teams that are under new management or new all together to AA3 this season. Dont take any offense to any of this if you feel you deserve a higher spot. Just post below your reason, dont make this personal or classless, and then prove it on the field this season.

Ah yes the MaRAWK!!olypse is now "officially" recognized by the league. While disappointed that we are not ranked higher we intend to show why these rankings are no better than college pre season rankings. The RAWK has made significant improvements in the off season. Why it has been a matter of volume but in carefully selected areas to shore up weaknesses. We are only a player or two away from where we want and expect to be. Always keep in mind that builds are what make a player and we will be significantly better in this area this season.

With that said bring on the goats and burning upholstery.

*Fear MaRAWK!!o---offer now valid in all imaginary game worlds.

I agree completely. Build > Level, my only caution with MaRAWK is that your level 23 and 25 guys are behind by at least 20-25 skill points on their counterparts through the league. Even an average built level 30-32 is going to PROBABLY be better than a 23-25 still, just by virtue of the skill points they have over them.

With the amount of skill points a level 30-32 player has that a 23-25 player doesn't, for them not to have a better build means they probably shouldn't be recruited at all.

That was my only caution in putting MaRAWK any higher.

Rawk is a top 4 seed this season. Will win a playoff game, and a trip to the conference championship is not out of the question.

FEAR RAWKO!!

Great write up GBPack. I feel like any of the top three teams could be ranked number 1 but we will gladly except the top spot

I agree and only could really see making an argument for the #4 spot. That being said we hung in and competed against everyone very closely except BBE. While we haven't made huge additions they are going to work very nicely for us and we still have a few to come.

nice write up man. C85 is happy to be in the discussion. we know we have our work cut out for us and would see a playoff berth as a very nice first season in AA3.

I think I should have enough time to do power rankings this year, actually I think I will do one right now. Power Rankings > Work

Great job man. FA market is brutal so far this season. I hope we can keep that spot. It will be a tough season.

Nice write up, but there is not a single mention of goats, so it only gets a B-.

It would appear goats have snuck into the rankings so all is well with the world. At least in GLB africa.

Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer for S6 to get started (or at least S5 to officially end)

See Khodumodumo and MaRAWK. Goats are mentioned in each =P ...it wouldn't be quality preseason rankings list without a mention of goats!
