Lately I've been listening to mostly Smashing Pumpkins, Hold Steady, and Mastodon.

Sometimes I forget that Oasis is culturally relevant after "What's the Story...". :x

Also, I'm catching onto Mastodon because of Rock Band 2 (rofl'd), since Colony of Birchmen is on there (AND REALLY AWESOME.)

I'm gonna get Leviathan soon by then, since my friend let me rip his copy of Blood Mountain.

actually to answer the question... just dled some music last night. Can't listen like I used to but from what I have heard I liked:

-Department of Eagles - In Ear Park (kinda indie-pop ish I guess)
-Plush - Fed (tough to find, very pop-oriented, Beatles-eque)
-TV on the Radio - Dear Science

Stuff from earlier this year that I liked:
-Neon Neon - Stainless Style
-Santogold - Santogold (you have heard her on commercials and stuff)
-Ruby Suns - Sea Lion

But in an attempt to get closer to Pumpkins/HS... stuff that rocks out a little more that I have been listening to lately is (none of it new):
-T. Rex
-Oasis - Definitely Maybe (check out track 8, Cigarettes & Alcohol, if you never have)
-Frank Black (Frank Black & the Catholics = highly underrated album imo)

I hear that the new Eagles of Death Metal is solid as well.
