Warrior General Games

In previous years it was easy to know who was moving up...whoever won the conference championship game. This season, however, there will likely be more holes to fill due to Sold/Gutted/Severely Underleveld teams. Based on Bort's criteria, here is the current order of teams from USA A5 & A6 in the order of promotion:

A5 East Champ - Indianapolis Gangsters
A6 East Champ - Lizard Lick Lizard Lickers
*A5 East Runner Up - Ludlow Lion (+15 Playoff Point Differential)
*A6 East Runner Up - Buffalo Daggers (-15 Playoff Point Differential)
**A6 East - Pittsburgh Steel Riders (1-0 Scrim, Even Playoff Point Diff)
**A5 East - Alabama Tidesports Crimson Tide (1-0 Scrim, -6 Playoff Point Diff)
**A5 East - Virgina Wolverines (1-0 Scrim, -38 Playoff Point Diff)
**A6 East - PTT Villagers (0-1 Scrim)
***A5 East - Oklahoma City Maulers (2-0 Scrim, -4 Playoff Point Diff)
***A5 East - Charlotte Clamjousters (2-0 Scrim, -8 Playoff Point Diff)
***A5 East - Virginia Cowboys (2-0 Scrim, -31 Playoff Point Diff)
***A5 East - Gulf Coast Crocs (1-1 Scrim)
***A6 East - Memphis River Rats (0-2 Scrim, -1 Playoff Point Diff)
***A6 East - Awesomeville Bearphins (0-2 Scrim, -7 Playoff Point Diff)
***A6 East - Viridian Vanguards (0-2 Scrim, -28 Playoff Point Diff)
***A6 East - Tennessee Fury (0-2 Scrim, -31 Playoff Point Diff)

* - If Daggers win and Lions lose, Daggers move to #3
** - Order could change based on Scrim 2 results
*** - Order could change based on Scrim 3 results

No, that is the order the teams will be promoted to fill gaps. The chances of it getting more than 4-5 deep are slim. If the West would stop kicking the East's ass in the Scrim games, A6 would be better represented.

Did Bort say anything about not promoting West teams to the East in the level up? Weiss and I spoke about this briefly. It would be kind of interesting to see some teams switch conference. I don't know if Bort would do it though.

Edit: I'm also predicting right now that 3 teams from the West will advance. I think that means HBB, HIB, and DV (because of points in the playoffs). The Horde may take DV's place.

I find it hilarious that we're ranked above the Fury. Shows how screwy the rankings can be.

Don't be surprised if 6 or 7 teams move up. There are a shitload of gutted teams in every league. I count 8 in AA3, 10 in AAA2, and 5 in Pro. For every team that moves up in AA3, we (A5 and A6) get a spot, because someone needs to move up to take their spot. For every two teams that move up in AAA2, we, on average, get 1 spot, as another AA3 team moves up. For every four teams that are replaced in Pro, we get a spot, on average, as a AAA2 team moves up and a AA3 team moves up.

So we automatically get the four conference champion spots, as usual, plus an additional eight for AA3's losses, an additional five for AAA2's losses, and one more for Pro's losses. That's a total of 18 spots.

Now, I doubt it will be that high, but using the criteria I did for "gutted teams", it could be. If you want to check yourself, a gutted team is one that has a CPU owner OR a scouting report differential of -9 or more for the majority of their schedule.

Anyone know when this will occur? Right after post season ends on day 40 I hope, that way recruiting would be much easier. I know we probably won't go anywhere, but just in case.

Normally promotions/relegations happen quickly. Hopefully Bort has run this through on the test server and it comes off seamlessly.

Wow thanks for putting the time and effort to do this AirmcMVP With any luck the Steel Riders will be promoted but, we are not counting on it.

dont forget, soem of us asked to be moved down. mostly because were a gutted rebulding team. looks like thsi year will be more of the same byt the lvl gap difference i see here.

Check to see what league you're in...it happened. You got promoted to AA East.

I wish. The Slashers are the only team that's played in A6 East that we've never beat.
