A bunch of interesting, hard-to-predict games.

On the Alpha side, we have the Warriors v. the Delta Force and the Idols v. the Kraits. I think these games are both toss-ups, but if forced to predict, I'd go with the Warriors and Kraits.

On the Zeta side, it's the Bulls v. the Gangsters and Titans v. Tsunamis.

The Titans have never beaten the Tsunamis (mainly due to Turbo's bribing of Bort, I imagine) and, though I think this is a very close matchup, I have to go with the Tsunamis until the Titans prove they can beat them.

In our game against the Gangsters, we have our own bad history as we have already twice been the top seed and twice been eliminated in round 2. Furthermore, the Gangsters gave us our only loss this season.

I hate playing the Gangsters b/c they always have the toughest AIs to play against (I blame Random Beast and his facility with Greasemonkey scripts). It puts us in the position of either sticking with the AI we've used the last few weeks (and letting them game plan perfectly for it) or changing things up substantially, which has its own inherent risks. I'd have to pick the Gangsters in this game.

yea all the games are toss-ups, going to be interested morning tomorrow though. All 4 games will be fun to watch.

Titans have added some players since our last game, so we'll see. They are always a tough time to play. Tsunamis tactics should be set soon, wish we could hurry up the game already

Don't pick the Kraits. We're the underdogs. All the pressure is on Lost City.

Lost City is going to play the best game ever, and beat us by 10 TDs. Anything less is really a win for Macau.

Thought I'd properly set expectations here.

Turbo,

I think the top 4 in Zeta are the most evenly matched that they've been in our 3 seasons. The last two seasons, there was one team that clearly outmatched the rest of us come the playoffs. This season, it looks like we are all pretty much at the same level.

gotta agree with you there. Its a coin flip in Zeta right now....looking at the teams, there isn't one i would want to face and there isn't one i would not want to face over the other teams.....I guess i would take Titans, simply because of our history with them, but they've added new players since our last game...and history means very little (it should add +20 chemistry to our team....suggestion board here i come)

Good luck in the game this morning Gyuri. And you are spot on in your assessment of RandomBeast. His ability to game plan our defense is uncanny. Together, him and I are affiliated on 4 teams as GM's/owners. All are playoff teams, 3 still in the hunt. His defensive schemes vary from team to team based on personnel and our opponents, but are always highly successful. I have not had time to put in my pro-bowl ballot for players yet, but if there WAS one for GM's, his name would have to be at the top IMO. Hopefully today's game will be exciting, fun to watch, and your offense will be totally stymied otherwise I will be cursed out of my own forum for jinxing us. LOL, good luck.

On a side note, it is VERY interesting that of the 4 remaining teams on our side, all the losses of those teams came to each other. This year is truly up in the air. Hopefully we all stay together when the restructure comes.

Thanks, EtGA. Good luck (but only a little bit of it) to you guys, too. Though I'm not overwhelmingly optimistic about our chances today, I do hope that the game is at least close and exciting.

Good game, Gangsters. It was very, very close, befitting a game between such evenly matched teams.

Remind me never to take you to Vegas 0-4, but I'm sure you don't mind that last one being incorrect

Also, good game to Macau. They came out early and forced some big turnovers, but we held on late and pulled it out.

Arles,

I always stay away from the sports book, and would never bet money on any sport I care about (my complicated set of rooting interests and jinx/anti-jinx fears always completely screw up my prognostication abilities).

Congrats to you guys and Flounder's team for your wins.

Thanks, Flounder. I'm very interested in your game against Lost City. . .it should be a great matchup.

Our game against Thailand should be interesting. We caught them earlier in the season when they were in the process of completely rebuilding their team. They are much better now (I'm slightly terrified that they beat Pacific by 11 points), and I think our game should be very close (if it's not, it's bad for us as a blowout is likely to go in there direction).
