Hey guys, figured I'd sneak these out there. Looks like some interesting 3-6 and 4-5 matchups. Without further ado... here are your round one predictions!
1 Seed Grim Reapers vs. 8 Seed Vatra Dornei Wraiths
The machine that is the reapers come into the playoffs as the heavy favorites, hosting the Wraiths. The Reapers won the first matchup this season 38-3. I think the reapers are just going to be way too much for the wraiths, and end up winning by a simmilar amount as last time. This time I think it's gonna be 34-14.
2 Seed Transylvania Bloodsuckers vs. 7 Seed Kilkenny Cannibals.
Transylvania won this matchup the first time around, 34-14. Coker is going to continue to light up the score board and it's going to be up to the good Kilkenny secondary to slow them down. This is a matchup Transylvania has won most of the season, and I think they win this one, 42-21.
3 Seed Amsterdam Arctic Blast vs. 6 Seed Dublin Drunken Monkeys
This might be the most interesting matchup of the playoffs. Amsterdam sneaked by on a safety the first go around 26-24. The wild card in this one is the Amsterdam defense. They need to keep being stout against the run and slow down the conferences #2 rusher in Brad Theisen. I'm not going to predict a winner in this one since it's my team, but I will tell you this. The winner of this one takes it by less than a TD.
4 Seed London Brawling Tommies vs. 5 Seed Basin City Blues.
Another game that is going to be very interesting. The Blues took the first matchup 17-10. This is probably your best bet at picking an upset. The overachieving Tommies running game is key this week. If they can get it going, they will be very tough to stop. I think the Tommies reverse their fortune of the first match up and win this one 20-17.
