Aright everybody. Regular season is over and its time to get in our votes for the Pro Bowl. I thought it was pretty entertaining last year and gave us something to do after the regular season.

Instead of trying to nominate somebody to field a whole bunch of PMs and tabulate the results, I think we should just try a public voting system here in this thread. If each ballot is public and here for everybody to see, then more players will get recognition for their work this season. So you can see if your player got votes even though he did not make the final roster.

TIMELINE: I think we should work on getting these votes in before the end of the playoffs (day 40). Obviously if you have a playoff game, then you can take some more time to get your votes in since there are more important things.

Happy Voting.

This is my personal opinion.

Sure we could have a pro-bowl selection, but with all the gutted teams, big victories and such, I wouldn't be comfortable voting for any player.

Again, this is my personal opinion, so vote for any player you like.

That does make it more difficult to vote. It just means you should consider whether somebody got all there stats against gutted teams. I don't think we should just not do it at all because of gutted teams. I know its just your opinion, but you'd rather have no results at all than results which have a chance of being off due to padded stats? Hopefully people just put a little thought into their selections.

I know because of my guys I would need to look further in stats. Not just the primary stat for his position.

This means itll take me a while to go through the league lol.

Khellendross and boknows from my team both were 2200 yard rushers but Khell also was a 500 yard receiver with 14 receiving TD's to add to his 38 on the ground.

As to the gutted teams. Torino was gut all year and Turkeys after game 5. Turkeys do adjust the results a little but for Zeta it should not effect too much. I didnt watch Alpha as closely this year as last so someone from Alpha might have to speak on that side.

Well, that was my concern, because of what you both said.. It takes a very long time to do, if you are to look through almost every player, in every game except the +100 spread games...

My guard had a terrible year, but made 70-some pancakes in one game, which boosted his stats massively... So, while he has 100+ pancakes, he doesn't deserve a sigle vote in the pro bowl voting.. If we had a stat called "sacks allowed" it would be a different story..
So the researching part would probably take some time.

If you'd like to do it and have the time, I think that would be great (I'm not against pro-bowl selections at all).

I don't know about a full roster, but I vote Ricky Bobby as league OPOTY.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=530842

3500 yards from scrimmage and 54 TD's.

Leading rusher and he didn't play a single gutted team. He's certainly Stockholm's MVP.

My QB's second WR was playing on relaxed, with NO EQUIPMENT being used, and yet he threw for 4600+ yards, 27 TD's, 8 ints

just look at the past few games he has had a REAL number 2 WR, and look at the results.

Anyways, this has been a HELL of a season, and one i will NEVER forget, our playoff spot literally came down to the last week.

--ESTONIAN WIFECARRIERS--
-----PRO BOWL BALLOT-----

Offensive Player of the Year
1.) PJ Seilhamer (wasn't the best QB, but def produced the most offense than anybody)
2.) Harvey The Wonder Hamster (Best overall Runner)
3.) Khellendross Storm (Brian Westbrook, props for catching and running)

Defensive Player of the Year
1.) Big Daddy Wonka
2.) ASh Hoole
3.) Bork Bulge-Belly

---OFFENSE---

QB
1.) On The Target (36 TDs to 2 INTs, 67% completion)
2.) Ecir Calhoun (34 TDs to 5 INTs, 63% completion)
3.) PJ Seilhamer (Crazy good stats, Yards and TD leader but padded by 15 TDs and 700 yards in win vs. Torino)

Comment: I went with quality here versus quantity of numbers. There are a bunch of great QBs in this conference.

HB
1.) Harvey The Wonder Hamster (11 of 16 games 100+ yards, best all around performance, not just gutted teams)
2.) Creepy Face (League Leader in Yards and carried at 7 yards+ per carry)
3.) Khellendross Storm (Very impressed with combined 52 TDs, but 22 of them came against the two gutted teams)

Comment: This is really tough because of the gutted games, but I am confident that these are three of the best backs in the conference.

FB
1.) LB Smasher and Triple Crown Brown (Both FBs from the Conference's best rushing team)

Comment: I like FBs who block. These two guys have 1 carry between the two of them. Good for them, thats how you build a FB.

WR
1.) Pete "Slippery" Hayes (Can't argue with 148 catches, but more drops than TDs)
2.) JayVee Superstar (1813 yards, 30 TDs, but 20 drops)
3.) Tyler Gaudreau (1676 yards, 18 TDs, but 23 drops)
4.) Andy Cole (92 catches with only 10 drops)

Comment: I like WRs who catch the balls thrown their way more than Speed WRs who get open all the time and catch the ball half the time.

TE
1.) Chris Cohen (86 catches and 9 drops)
2.) Kelwien Calhoun (Led Tight Ends in TDs)

Comment: Receiving isn't everything for Tight Ends, but these guys are the best at it.

G
1.) Tux Rox (145 pancakes)
2.) Clay Golem (127 pancakes)

OT
1.) Maxwell Protector (132 pancakes)
2.) Marcus Blaise (115 pancakes)

C
1.) Bruce Baumgartner (136 pancakes)

Comment: Its tough to pick O-Lineman because all we have to go off of is pancakes (and most of them were in the games against gutted teams). However, I only picked players from teams who allowed under 20 sacks on the year. I would also like to point out that the best overall offensive line award goes to St. Pete for only allowing 3 sacks on the entire year. That in my mind is more important than anything else. Job well done.

---DEFENSE---

DE
1.) Big Daddy Wonka (24 total sacks, 15 sacks vs non-gutted teams, 47 hurries)
2.) Wilbring Payne (13 total sacks, 7 sacks vs non-gutted teams, including 1 against my O-Line)
3.) Jakey Crusher (20 total sacks, 7 sacks vs non-gutted teams)

DT
1.) Bork Bulge-Belly (12 total sacks, 7 sacks vs non-gutted teams, 41 hurries)
2.) Insanely Tough Football Player (70 tackles, 26 hurries, 6 total sacks - 1 vs. nongutted)
3.) Lucius Bellator (7 total sacks, 3 vs non-gutted teams, 22 hurries)

Comment: For all D-Lineman, sacks were inflated by weak opponents, so I tried to take that out as much as I could.

LB
1.) ASh Hoole (78 tackles, 24 total sacks, 12 sacks vs non-gutted teams)
2.) Just Another Statistical Dot (68 tackles, 9 sacks vs non-gutted teams)
3.) DeMarcus Blaise (81 tackles w/ 5 missed, 4 sacks vs non gutted teams, 4 FF, 3 ints w/ 2 returned for TDs)
4.) Petey DaFool (109 tackles w/ 11 missed, 5 sacks vs non-gutted teams)

Comment: Michael Nobert-Laparierre had an AMAZING 161 tackles, but the 39 missed tackles kept him off my list.

CB
1.) Ringyour Chimes (8 Int, 4 for TD)
2.) Travis Phillips (4 Int, 3 for TD, and 2 fumble recoveries returned for TDs)
3.) Ringyour Bell (9 Int, 2 for TD)
4.) Punxsutawney Phil (6 Int, 2 for TD)

Comment: Some great production out of these CBs making things happen on Defense

SS
1.) Dave Browner (94 tackles w/ 4 missed, 4 FF, 2 Int, 1 for TD)
2.) Dorian Swift (130 tackles w/ 14 missed, 2 FF, 1 recovery for a TD)

FS
1.) Samuel Slapps (113 tackles w/ 13 missed, 5 forced fumbles)
2.) Downhill PV3 (100 tackles w/ 5 missed, 4 forces fumbles,

KR
1.) Rodney Bennett (33 yards per return and 4 TDs)

PR
1.) Shast Bludgeon (One of the only punt returners to return 1 TD against a team that wasn't gutted)

Comment: Take it to the house! However, most kick returns and punt returns were against gutted teams.

K
1.) Jaime Caspio (Most Feild Goals and Best %)

P
1.) Jerrel Wilson (Best Yards per punt, 40.8)

Agreed. However, I did vote for Clay. He got a ton of stats vs. the gutted teams, but so did many others. He was part of a strong offensive line that didn't give up very many sacks. I agree there should be an individual sacks allowed stat, but until then you can only see which teams allowed the least sacks. Clay was in the Pro Bowl last year and I don't see why he doesn't deserve another trip back. Pancakes are far from everything in Lineman, we all know that. OLineman is probably the most meaningless votes here because you can't measure intangibles in this game. Oh well, you do the best with what you got.

Seems like a pretty good pro-bowl selection ufshowboat.

If others wish to vote, I recommend using the rules written in the first post...
