After a couple of good seasons, Chris Beanie Wells got some recognition during tuesdays award show. While he was thrilled about the CO-offensive MVP award, he was also aware that it would never happen without the team.

"Football is a team sport, and i have had a great offensive line to run behind, so they obviously have their share in this award. Ever since my former Dragon-teammate, StiffarmSteve, got me to this team from the Copenhagon Dragons, he has done everything for me to succeed, and one of them is collecting a great offensive line. The fact that our great QB, Bryce Mead, is a CO-winner of this award just makes it all even better, just like it proves that my good words about the offensive line isn't just empty words in politeness. I also wants to say congratulations to all the winners. Especially my teammates and the great Zambia Lions runningback, Ricky Runn, who was already great last year, but has made an incredibly improvement this season. Nobody could deserve the league MVP or Best RB award more than him. And that says a lot since the competition in this league is so great," Chris Beanie Wells said after the award announcements.

Now there is just one game left of the regular season before the most important games of the season starts. The playoff-games.

*Bryce Mead steps up to the mic....*

"Wow... how can I follow that. Beanie is the articulate one on the team... But I'll try...
First I'd like to thank to Willm for putting this event together. Africa has never had a Season Awards Show and it was great of him to step up and bring this all together for us. I'd also like to thank everyone that considered myself and teammates for the awards presented tonight, it's definitely honor. I'd like to thank my Offensive line for protecting my butt all season! Some times it takes me 4-6 seconds to make up my mind who I'm going to throw the ball to... and they make me look like I pulled off a play when it was actually them who saved the play. A long with the Offensive line, I'd like to thank Beanie for moving the ball on the ground and our WR/TEs (Sully, TD, JB, Sticky, Diego, Anduin & Stiffarm) for catching my inaccurate balls and help moving the offense. BUT the key to a successful offense is a Defense that gives them good field position! Our defense was great with pulling off big plays and find ways to create turnovers.

Special thanks to our GMs...
Billy White (D), Skeeterdefense (D), JM (O), JDSaint (O) for all their hard work and excellent game planning.

I'd also like to congratulate the other nominees and winners this evening... Ricky Runn has truly been the league MVP. His stats don't lie, he's simply a stud... I'd also like to mention a few more bad asses around the league... Don McNabb, Austin Mceuen, Chad Zohnson, Grezbor Quam, Simeon Craig, Roc Steady, Major Slaughter, Teammate Rock Hornash, Leon Colorchange, Prime Times and Eryk Hansen. All have been studs in their own rights...

That's it! I'm excited about getting the Playoffs started!
I'll see all of you on the field...

May the best team win!"

This afternoon at the Practice Facility of the Cape Verde Kings, reporters gathered for a press conference to hear a few words from the much-heralded defensive corner: "Prime Times."

Prime Times: "Thank-you for coming today, I'm quite thrilled to have won the Defensive MVP Award for the lion conference in Africa AAA #2. It has been a great season this year, and I've been fortunate to be apart of one of the top defenses in the league this season. It is certainly nice to get some individual attention, but I can't help but acknowledge that my success would have limited without the support of my teammates."

Reporter: "Your record tying 11 Interceptions on the season is quite an accomplished feat, what do you think on the matter?"

Prime Times: "Well you know, when you set a record its always a nice thing to do, but there is still one more game left, and I'm hoping for a chance to make it twelve!"

Reporter: "Of all the success you've accomplished this season, what makes this one special to you?"

Prime Times: "Awe man, that's a good question! I'd have to go with my four forced fumbles on the season, its not often us corners get to lay big hits on running backs, but I really love playing physical and making big hits on opposing teams. So I think that stat speaks volumes for my heart for the game."

Reporter: "So what are you anticipating next?"

Prime Times: "Well, we have a big game coming up tomorrow against the leathernecks, and they will be a tough matchup, but regardless of the outcome, we will be heading into the playoffs, and that's going to be one tough game after another tough game all the way to the championship! So I'm hoping for as many tough games as we can get, cause if we keep on winning, we'll have a chance for a second championship as a team."

Reporter: "Well I know your going to want to go celebrate with your teammates and get ready for tomorrow's game, so is there any last words you want to leave us with?"

Prime Times: "Well this has been an incredible season as a team with a pretty great record, and all that starts with the great coaching staff we have. It doesn't come as a surprise to me that Dlee shares the best coach of the year award. I also think this is an amazingly talented team we have here, specifically a shout out to my dogs in the defensive backfield... best secondary in the league baby! So anyways, thanks for talking to me today guys, PEACE!"

I'm surprised why there weren't some more representation on behalf of the Woolsheds... but as to hansen - Prime Times...

Prime Times has Hansen out leveled, and has a higher pass defensive rating, and had to fight for his picks with the rest of the secondary taking so many... Hansen is still a great corner though, and obviously has a good build.

Prime Times is also a beast at run support and shuts down his receiver so he gets very few looks, thus fewer deflections. But if you watch the sims, Prime Times gets more Deflections / Picks than he has tackles of receivers he was guarding by a ton.

But I have nothing but respect for Valla Beach, and it is really so hard to compare without looking at builds (you wanna send me hansen's?)...
