This week is a bragging rights week that does have playoff implications in both leagues. Expect a draw between the two conferences with each one garnering around 8 wins.

Game of the week:

Genosha vs. Alberta to decide the #7 and #8 team and Niagara vs. Regina for bragging rights.

Playoff Hunt:

The final two teams are slotted but it remains to be seen who will lose to Calgary and who will lose to Niagara. Genosha will retain the #7 seed if they are able to beat Alberta, a loss moves the PGW into the 7th slot. If for some reason the current #6 seed Alberta loses and either / both Genosha and PGW win, a huge shakeup will occur that would cause one of the teams to face Saskatoon as opposed to Calgary or Niagara…yeah, not much of a consolation prize huh…

#1 Calgary Destroyers 15-0-0
This week is a week off to game plan for…well the second round basically. Expect the Destroyers to live up to their name vs Hudson. Prediction - Calgary by 63.

#2 Niagara Nightmare 14-1-0
This week the Nightmare have a true test on their hand in the Regina Pounders. From what I can tell the Pounders have underproduced this season and were expected to be more competitive. This SHOULD be a close game from the start. Let's hope the sun doesn't make an appearance but even if it does, expect to hear Druez run his mouth. Prediction - Nightmare by 10.

#3 Saskatoon Sasquatch 13-2-0
Beat a Saskatchewan team like they stole something. This week they play a Gowboys team that have been the Druez’s mom of the East, it seems everyone got a turn to tear em up. Prediction - Saskatoon by some obscene number.

#4 Shilo Silly Nannies 12-3-0
The Silly Nannies have performed well all year and will finish the season at 13-3. Look for them to cruise to a victory vs. the St. Catarines Stompers. Prediction - Shiloh by 28.

#5 Unsavory Gentlemen 10-5
The UG were soundly defeated by the Destroyers and showed their not quite up to far with the upper echelon of the West. This week they face an up and down St. John’s team that will surprise or disappoint each week. After narrowly losing to Regina they barely pull out the W vs. St. Catharines. Expect it to be close with the UG winning by a slim margin. Prediction – UG by 10.

#6 Alberta Irukandji 9-6-0
The Irukandji get little rest as they come off a streak where they faced the top 5 teams in the West in 6 weeks. This week they play a tough Cold Lake team. Expect this game to come down to the wire. Prediction – Toss Up.

#7 Prince George 9-6
While no hope exists for their first round draw, they should be able to defeat the ill equipped Warhammers. This game could get out of hand quick if Zippo and his stud WR’s begin to complete passes on the Warhammer secondary. Prediction - PGW by 28.

#8 Genosha X-men 9-6
The X-Men, much like the PGW, have little hope of winning in round 1 of the playoffs but they do have a chance for E v. W bragging rights. This week they face a very good Alberta team in a game that could go either way. Prediction – Toss Up

#9 Manitoba Lions 7-8-0
The unlucky Lions get a break this week as they ponder what happened in a season that saw them missing the playoffs by 1 game. Expect this week to be a blowout as they face the very thing that Druez slithered out of many years ago. Prediction - Lions by 42.

#10 Chilliwack Care Bears 7-8
The Care Bears looked to be in early season form as they decimated Ste. Marie in a game that was expected to be closer. This week they Thunder Bay in a game that could have playoff implications in the East. This game could be tight but expect the TBHM to pull it out at the end. Prediction – Thunder Bay by 14.

#11 Saskatchewan 4-11-0
We hope that the players will actually show up to tomorrows game after the bludgeoning they received on behalf of Saskatoon. The Thrashers face a Quebec team with nearly identical match ups. Prediction – Toss Up.

#12 Northside Hangmen 4-11-0
The Hangmen should switch places with the hanged and off themselves before tomorrow. This week they face a Quebec team that is one of the best in A5. It should be ugly from the start. Prediction – Chiefs by 77.

#13 Fhockey.com Demos 3-12-0
Still the best of the worst but definitely improving, this week the Demos play a Port Dover team with a monster passing attack if they can get on track. Look for the Demos to give up long plays in bunches. Prediction – Port Dover by 35.

#14 Sault Ste. Marie Harbingers 2-13-0
The poor Ste. Marie cannot catch a break. This week they face one of the best in A5 and should petition for the white towel option. Prediction – Flappin by 84.

#15 Buffalo Bison 1-14-0
The Bison have the opportunity to finish with 2 wins as they face a dreadful Great Lake team. Expect this to be nothing short of "The Ringer" meets "Life Goes On". Prediction – Bison by 28.

#16 Piikoi Jellys 0-15-0
This week the Jellys face the Eastside Eagles, may God have mercy on their soul. Prediction – Eagles score so many points that the scoreboard won’t work.

You know I can not read that prediction too many times. I think I am going to print it out and put it on my wall.

Great Job Oscarr.
With a little help we could move up to the 6th seed, and you know what that means? Thats right absolutly nothing. But you got to have something to strive for.

It would mean you would play saskatoon instead of niagra or calgary in the first round.

I meant the chances of victory do not improve by much at all no matter what seed you are 6-8.

Fog Devils destroyed the UG by capitalizing on turnovers. It's hard to win when you turn the ball over 5 times and the other team doesn't. Good game (for you) St. Johns.

95-0 against the worst team in the league. hope they fix that next season so rebuilding teams can play against each other.

So close, but genosha got 7th. I didn't really care too much until they were 2-6. then I found out that some guys from this team last year singed with the flappin heads out of spite. I took over as GM October 4th. This is a different team now
you're right it was a toss up good call.
