It's that time of year again, folks. The time when a team takes a season and wipes it clean, turning it into a blank slate upon which real victories are written.

In the West, the teams making the playoffs seem locked in:

1 Tana River Ewoks
2 San Diego Demolition
3 Barbarian Horde
4 Honolulu Beach Boys
5 Mentone Beach Assault
6 Guadalajara Gladiators
7 Death Valley Grave Diggers
8 Huskers Illustrated Bugeaters

The seeding, on the other hand, is anything but decided. i#1 is up for grabs with SD's loss. #3-5 are also due for a shakeup, as Barbarian Horde faces an incredibly tough closing two games. 6-8 are also up for grabs, as well.

The East still has 10 teams in contention:

1 Lizard Lick Lizard Lickers
2 Memphis River Rats
3 Buffalo Daggers
4 Tennessee Fury
5 Awesomeville Bearphins
6 Pittsburgh Steel Riders
7 PTT Villagers
8 Viridian Vanguards
9 New Orleans Fanboys
10 Arlington Avengers

Fanboys, despite being "gutted", still could make the eighth seed with their easy final two games. The Avengers have a tougher go at it, requiring a Viridia to lose both their games for them to make it in due to the tiebreaker. LLLL ought to have the #1 seed, even against tougher opponents in the final stretch. The most interesting race outside of that for the eighth seed is 4-6. Fury seem to have the 4th seed locked up, but it's anyone's ballgame after that.

I think there will be some movement in the Wests seeds. We still have 2 difficult games remaining. If we lose them both, we could drop to the #5 seed. Almost every team in the West still has at least one difficult game. I think the loser of the HIB and DV game gets the #8 seed. Whatever the seeds are, it will be another difficult playoffs.

My East predictions (done before the Week 14 games were in the book):

LLLL (14-2)
River Rats (14-2)
Daggers (13-3)
Fury (12-4)
Bearphins (11-5)
Steel Riders (10-6)
Villagers (10-6)
Vanguards (9-7)

Assuming my predictions hold:

The Vanguards get the try to avenge an early season loss (embarrassing loss, at that).
The favorite River Rats face a tough Villagers team.
The Daggers face a team that took them to the limit in Week 1.
Fury hosts a Bearphins team that's learned what it takes to win in A6.

Finally, a nice slate of games!

yeah, no gutted teams in the playoffs means we should see competitive games across the boards.

AirMcMVP, a 14-2 Memphis team would get the top seed in your scenario.

It feels good to be in a competitive playoff picture again. The past two seasons we sat in one of the top two spots easily, but this season has been our toughest one since season 2.

True because the River Rats beat LLLL. Man it sucks to be so far down the ranks with a win over the #1 seed.

Oops. I checked all the tie-breakers...must've read that one wrong (checked the wrong team's page). Either way, I'm a Vanguards fan for week 1.

I hope you get you wish...and knock them off. Not that facing Viridia in round 2 (assuming my seeds hold) is an easy task...

Playoffs are gonna be intense in the West, and the 1/2 seed could have the toughest game out of everyone, go figure. The 4/5 game is gonna be a nuts matchup.
Tana still with 2 tough games left as well as Horde. Demo cant do worst than 2 unless we throw a dud, much like the Tana game, so ya never know.

Gonna be alot of fun I know that much.

awesome man, I'd love another shot at you guys

Our game with Awesomeville is going to have major implications. It could put us anywhere from #3 to 5 depending on how the Horde's next two come out. It majorly sucks that we have to play Awesomeville AGAIN. They are playing well right now and we've been trying to figure some things out after the SD disaster.
