I have a lv33 OT. Start of next season, I'll be lv37, with str/blk at 68, all my minors at a decent stage, and dumping points to get agility to 60 and speed toward 40.
I got a +1 jumping/+1 first step adv.equip I really am thinking of trying and want opinions.
So...
1)
Has anybody ACTUALLY researched jumping? Bort said it is the most underrated attribute on GLB about a season ago. Naturally you'd think jumping would help your acceleration a bit, or that "push" off the line. I know this is a sim, not real life, but its a theory and I'm curious if anybody has actually gotten their OTs jumping to 20 instead of 8, and has a real answer, not "omg its not a minor attribute, lol jumping on the oline."
2)
Second, I have an equip +1 jumping / +1 first step. Upgrading over 2 seasons we're looking at +3 first step for an opportunity cost of 8 skill points (and game bonuses, but at OT, these aren't as integral to team success).
3)
I am *not* willing to keep looking for a "better" equip. I play ROT, don't want any other SA than first step, and finding first step + str/blk/agi would take way too long, so I don't want that suggestion.
Basically, 4 agility, or 3 first step and 1 jumping? I realize in MOST positions, 3 first step and 1 jumping only costs 5 skill points, so I'm "overpaying" but really, 3 skill points? Coulda just rolled better.
If I went no equip, I train strength+blocking.. probably forever as its more valuable at 6% x 4 than my other stats at say 20%
If I used this, I will train strength+jumping
That means I will sacrifice about 2 points in blocking training for about 15 in jumping and take my jumping up to about 22-23 by the time this equip is ready.
I've got no problem sacrificing a small bit of "cookie-cutter" OT productivity for this investment, so tell me what you guys think though.
