If we can manage to hold on and beat Taipei next game, Thailand's win over the Gangsters gives us the top seed in the conference. Of course, we've squandered that spot two years in a row, so we may want to throw our game against Taipei, but still, it's a nice position to be in.

Thanks again, Rip and Co.

Don't know if it had an effect or not but we went with the 3/4 the last 2 games then switched back to an aggressive 4/3 for this game. It seemed to stifle their offense a bit.

If we can't beat the Tsunamis on the field then the least we can do is screw their chances on it.

It did occur to me that the main benefit of us possibly getting the one seed is that we are set up to play the Gangsters in the 2nd round if we both win. Now it's not like I particularly want to play Thailand or Pacific, but once again matching up in the 2nd round with the team that beat us in the regular season is not something I'm all that psyched about.

Though I guess we could view it as a potential revenge game.

Whew, I thought you were going to say something like "if we can't beat them on the field then we'll beat them off" which I think you can get banned for saying something like that.

On a recent outtake from the Ultimate Fighter (reality MMA show where fighters compete for a contract for those who haven't heard of it), UFC President Dana White was talking about certain people wanting others off the show. He said something along the lines of... "This ain't Survivor and f'n vote 'em off. You f'n beat 'em off... That didn't sound good, did it?"

I carefully worded my reply to avoid any such confusions.

And Turbo that second round matchup is just what I'm hoping for.
