What ever happened to the Las Vegas Outlaws that I think had to change names...? That was my punter's first real team and I was on there for 4 seasons. I really got into that team until I was randomly traded away and our owner just left us. I think the team got gutted but I'm really not too sure what happened. We were pretty good but just fell apart.

Not sure what you mean. Your first 3 seasons game logs show you played for the 'Westpac Shellbacks' who were relegated to Oceania AAA #2. They may have had a name change, if you mean them try the Oceania AAA #2 Forums.

The Las Vegas Outlaws had to be renamed because that used to be the name of an XFL team, or something. Pretty sure they became the Westpac Shellbacks, who got relegated one season after the name change.

the Outlaws are the Shellbacks, I preferred when they were known as the TeamMustChangeNameDueToCopyRights Outlaws or whatever they were for about half a season

Don't forget their brief time as "Rename To Something That Isn't Trademarked" or something to that effect.

Actually they were gutted before the change to Westpac if I recall correctly, although I wish Guy Dixon had left OPL with the owner, he is still killing defenses as a member of the Mean Machine.

Yeah I was on that team with ya. Our owner had some personal issues going on in his life I think. Unfortunately our Offensive GM tourist didn't have enough power to keep the team running so he he traded us off to teams we wanted to go to which was really great of him.

I'm glad I got to stay in OPL. Wouldn't have it any other way

At the very least you do your part to help make opposing defenses better.... or else.

I remember the good old days on the Outlaws. Tyler was such a good owner and then he just disappeared. I was so disappointed with him because he was not inactive, but he was doing nothing for the team. I also remember Guy and I'm so happy that he is on a good team now. I remember him just running all over the opposing teams.

I also still have the old jersey for my WR. Yeah it was sad how we had to disband like that. Also props to Tourist who tried to keep the team alive, great guy. He seems to be GMing a US and Canadian pro team now so hes doin good too.

Tyler was a great owner but I remember him saying something about personel issues at the time. Would of been nice of him to at least inform us as you said he was not inactive just not talking to anyone or doing anything for the team.

This thread pretty much solves one of the biggest mysteries of OPL to me at least. Outlaws went from a top contender to a squad that heavily underperformed despite having one of the best teams on paper in seasons 2 and 3. I've always sorta wondered about that. "Inactive" owner is a tough thing to overcome, especially if nobody else has the ability or time to step up.

The Outlaws, Versailles Vampires, and the Gods were fun to play those first 2 seasons. So we know what happened to the Outlaws, how about the Vampires?

Well they should have done their research - Westpac is one of the major banks in Australia (one of the "Big 4")

Vincennes, knew it was something alliterative like that... They dropped all the way to A and went 0-16, looks like they never regrouped after that loss to you in season 2 lol
