Rules for promotions to fill the spots of sold teams:
Since we've got to fill the slots of sold teams that will be vacated at the end of this season, promotion order will be sorted by the following criteria and season stats, in order, amongst the eligible teams in the 2 leagues below them:
1. Number of playoff victories
2. Number of playoff games participated in (this covers the first round losers over the non playoff teams)
3. Postseason scrimmage wins (not friendlies)
4. Postseason scrimmage ties (not friendlies)
5. Avg playoff game points differential
6. Avg postseason scrimmage points differential
7. Avg playoff points scored
8. Avg postseason scrimmage points scored
9. Avg playoff points allowed (lower is better)
10. Avg postseason scrimmages points allowed (lower is better)
11. Regular season wins
12. Regular season ties
13. Regular season points scored
14. Regular season points against (lower is better)
15. Random selection.
This makes it so we end up going down through the rounds, and the playoff scrimmage games vs the other league end up counting as to whether you can get promoted or not, assuming there are teams above you to take their place.
I'll add this info to the FAQ later tonight, too, for future reference.
