Pancake probably being the most important, what else has had a positive affect on your player?

I always thought shock block was pretty worthless. You really have success with it? How about at the ROT position

Protector for LOT's is probably the best, imo. Unless you don't want to protect your QB and just get pancakes, then pancake is probably what you want.

I love Shock Block on my ROT. Way better than Pancake IMO. But I have my strength up pretty high, in fact he is my strongest player. With Shock Block all I need to do is engage the DE and I buy myself an extra half second or so, something that doesn't happen with blocking because they all shed blocks so quick. When facing guys with 95+ speed and/or agility you only have that split second to engage them before they blow by you, unless you have a minimum of 70ish agility and 50ish speed. I don't have either of those, but I get by fairly well, I can't say I never allow a sack because the pathing sometimes doesn't even let me get a hand on guys going inside rushes, but I believe I have given up less than 5 sacks on the season including scrimages. I think agility, speed, and vision are more important, but Shock Block lets me stay high strength for our run game and still be fairly effective in the passing game.

I don't think pancake is even close to important.
Shock Block, Protect(for LOT), foundation, get Low, and possibly cut block(not a big fan of the cut block) are all far better than pancake.

having 2 in pass block / run block respectively is likely worth the investment, also

very underrated SAs. I am going for a shock block build and getting my strength high, coupled with quick cut and first step SA, it should make the shock block a lot better.
To build a shock blocker, all you need is high strength. THe DEs being built are pretty darn weak (they are heavier CBs), and people don't really care about the fact it leaves the right side (offensively) succeptible to the strong I off tackle plays.
Vision is also very important for OTs. It helps them stay in front of the defender. But Strength and agility should be your high priorities. After my OTs success, i am sold on the fact that blocking is pretty underrated. First soft cap at best for an OT.
Guards are harder builds because they need to be fast (unless you are on a pass heavy team...then you don;t have to worry about pulling).

Maybe, but maybe not. Lv. 20 speed rushers barely got the speed and agility needed to get sacks. But your guy seems to have much less control over the defender when engaged in the block.
