Game of the Week
Singapore Flames (even) at Thailand Cheap Toys
Both teams have losses to the Riders and the Metalheads on their resume but the Flames have been on 7th heaven lately with 8 wins in a row including wins over the Rush and the Demons. The Toys have been on top of the world also though with 7 wins in a row themselves. The winner most likely will be getting a home playoff game, the loser, probably not. Tempted to pick Thailand here, but we all reach a time when big boys and girls have to put the Toys away. Flames by 10.
Other games
Kyoto Samurai at The Elephant Riders (+9)
The Samurai find their swords a bit beaten up and dulled at this point in the season. There’s not enough of an edge left for the Riders to sharpen their elephant’s tusks. Riders by 82.
SBI Waves at Sault Ste Marie Metalheads (+3)
The Waves could use a big win to punch their playoff ticket but they find that trying to punch Metalheads is not good for the hands & fingers. Metalheads by 21.
San Fran Gold Rush (+15) at Da Nang Yellow Jackets
The Rush are golden, which is a far cry from that ugly yellow the Jackets are sporting. In fact, the Da Nang looks downright jaundiced after this one. Rush by 225.
Bangkok Blue Demons (+12) at Kapres Pride
Not a good time for the Pride to host the Demons as the Bangkok boys have lost 3 of their last 4. Make it 3 of the last 5. Demons stomp on whatever pride Kapres has left. Demons by 145.
Midway Maulers at Garut Fire Horses (+3)
Horses are galloping their way into the playoffs. The Maulers put up a tussle for a quarter or so but these are no quarter Horses. Thoroughbreds all the way. Horses by 21.
Manila Envelopes at The Pretenders (+12)
The Pretenders will have all eyes on that Waves/Metalheads matchup this week. Might as well, they could handle these Envelopes blind-folded. Pretenders by 85.
Vietnam Villains at Thung Yai Tigers (+3)
This one won’t register on the Nielson ratings. Tigers by 14.
