Since the "official" power rankings are late, let's have some discussion...
Rankings by record:
1 . Oakland Wizards . . . . 9-1-0
.....Since a relatively early season loss to the Elves, Oakland has scraped by with wins over Buffalo, Grand Haven, Austin and San Diego, combined with a season opening win over the current #2 team Albuquerque, Oakland still has to play Tucson, Portland and Spicewood in the West, should finish with at least a 14-2 record.
2 . Albuquerque Mustangs . . 9-1-0
.....Since the opening season loss to Oakland, the Mustangs have handled each matchup with wins over San Diego, Tucson, Portland, Spicewood and Silverymoon, and has a few remaining tests in Buffalo, Grand Haven and Miami Canes from the East, should also finish with a 14-2 record.
3 . Spicewood Longhorns . . . 8-2-0
.....An early loss against San Diego and a mid-season loss to the Mustangs are the only blemishes with wins over Tucson and Silverymoon, and matchups with Buffalo, Grand Haven and possible top seed Oakland remaining, a 13-3 record is probably the worst case
4 . Silverymoon Elves . . . . 8-2-0
.....After rattling off successful wins over the conference big-wigs Austin, Oakland, San Diego and Portland, the Elves ran into a rough patch with Spicewood and Albuquerque handing them consecutive defeats for the first time since season ending defeats in season 4, but they should right the ship with an easy end of season schedule until the week 16 matchup with North Side Dream Killers, a 13-3 record is easily within grasp.
5 . San Diego Marauders . . . 7-3-0
.....Since the season opening win over Spicewood, San Diego has posted wins against Buffalo and Grand Haven (and Austin in the process of dismantling) before getting its third loss against Oakland, with previous losses against Silverymoon and Albuquerque, still will face Tucson and Portland, but easily could finish with a 13-3 record.
6 . Grand Haven Mist . . . . 7-3-0
.....After an early season loss to the Elves, the Mist posted impressive wins over Buffalo and Austin, before suffering consecutive losses to Oakland and San Diego, then righting the ship against Tucson and Portland, but still face Spicewood and Albuquerque, and should finish with at least a 10-5 record.
7 . Buffalo Rangers . . . . . 6-4-0
.....Suffering through a franchise worst 4 game losing streak to Grand Haven, Austin, Oakland and San Diego, they may be righting the ship, but finish with a very tough schedule of Spicewood, Albuquerque, Silverymoon and Klamath Falls from the East, a 8-8 record is possible if they haven't figured things out.
8 . Tucson Nighthawks . . . . 5-5-0
.....A7 has not been friendly to these guys with narrow losses to top caliber teams Spicewood (38-17), Albuquerque (17-14), Silverymoon (34-33), Buffalo (30-29) and Grand Haven (9-3), and still having Oakland, San Diego and Alpine on the schedule, along with Portland, a realistic 8-8 record is in store.
9 . Portland Hitmen . . . . . 5-5-0
.....In a nearly identical position as Tucson, a late season matchup with these two teams will likely be for the final playoff spot to get to a 8-8 record.
