Game of the Week
#2 D.C. Warriors (8-1-0) vs #4 Oregon Ducks (7-2-0)
Unfortunately for the Ducks this week will see them visit their 3rd top 4 teams in the space of four weeks. Currently their record stands at 3-0, and they will need to improve this against the Warriors, who themselves are looking to lock up the #2 seed. A defeat here will almost certainly dash their hopes of a top 3 seed for the playoffs. The Warriors have been putting up some impressive numbers, including a 45-7 victory over the Dogg Pound in week 5. In terms of matchups the Ducks once again are out levelled by 18 and will rely on good strategy to record a victory here.
Warriors 21–10 Ducks
#1 Eleven Wise Monkeys (8-1-0) vs #12 West Bend Warlocks (2-7-0)
The Monkeys are on a 7 game winning streak including wins over the Warriors and Ducks and should make it 8 against an out levelled Warlocks side. The Warlocks will just continue their rebuilding process and ignore the result of this game and spend more time concentrating on tactics and their game planning for next season.
Monkeys 255 – 0 Warlocks
#3 Orlando Dogg Pound (8-1-0) vs #8 Bristol Bullets (5-4-0)
Orlando will be full of confidence after their victory last week against the Ducks but will need to protect the Quarterback better if they hope to make the finals in the playoffs. The Bullets have had a tough schedule of late facing some established sides and this week is no easier, they will need to make sure they beat the sides ranked lower than them to guarantee a playoff place.
Pound 42 – 10 Bullets
#5 French Dirty Lick Whorns (7-2-0) vs #9 USAORG Exiles (4-5-0)
French Lick have proved this season that they are on the cusp of the top rankings and should register their 8th victory of the season and 5th in a row. They have 4 top sides left to play which will show if they are worthy of their 5th place. The Exiles were comfortably beaten by the Famers last week despite the Famers not really able to get the ball going, and if that continues this week they will be lucky to get away with a decent scoreline.
Whorns 60 – 7 Exiles
#6 Canton Hall Of Famers (7-2-0) @ #11 Care Bears (3-6-0)
Canton have had 3 good performances in the last 3 weeks and should record another comfortable victory over the Bears. They have a hard run in however facing the Whorns, Devils, Ducks and Monkeys which will show whether or not they are a true contender. The Bears recorded their 3rd victory of the season in an unspectacular match with Colorado, and will have to improve on offence to put up numbers against the Famers.
Bears 7 – 40 Famers
#7 Murder City Devils (6-3-0) vs #10 Space Coast Storm Surge (4-5-0)
The only way is up from here for the Devils who have been a little underrated this season, and are coming off the back off two gimmes results against the Warlocks and Nobodies and have the Surge out matched quite comfortably here. Surge are still in the early stages of new ownership and have had an un-welcoming welcome to the division and with the Devils and Monkeys in the next two weeks, they don’t have much to look forward too.
Devils 45 –10 Surge
#13 Colorado Storm (2-7-0) vs #16 Columbus Spartans (0-8-0)
One thing the Storm can take out of this season is they have yet to be shutout and have faced all but 1 of the top 7 sides, so things will only get easier from here. Colorado have been improving all season and a strong victory here will breath confidence into their side. For Columbus it’s another week another defeat, roll on BBB.
Storm 255 –0 Spartans
#14 Compton ‘nill Wafers (1-8-0) vs #15 Buncha Nobodies (0-8-0)
The Wafers will be hoping for a second victory of the year over the gutted former Rockstars but will know it won’t be as easy as the level difference suggests. Cloudwalker I’m sure will have scouted the Wafers and created an excellent game plan for them, which is why it is a shame that they are’nt the side they once were. I can see this being an interesting game.
Wafers 21–10 Nobodies
