1. Alpine Golfers 9-0: They beat out NMR as I predicted and only have NSDK left as a threat to them going undefeated. I am really impressed with how well you guys have played this season especially on defense. Julius Dee is no longer the only person getting sacks and that defensive line is dominate!
2. Naked Mole Rats 8-1: Naked Mole Rats are a great team but they simply couldn't compete with the defensive line of Alpine. They could easily go 15-1 but will have to be keep the pedal to the metal for at least the next three games. Carolina, Kalamath, and Battle Creek are not teams that are going to just bend over and take it.
3. Northside Dreamkillers 8-1: Northside is such a solid team. They pull out close games better than any other team in this league. I have to believe that they will eventually make it to the championship due to karma. Unfortnately Karma gave Northside a lousy finish to this season so they will have to make sure they do not slip up against New Orleans or RU in order stay in the 3rd spot and keep homefield advantage.
4. Kalamath Falls Grizzles 6-3: Kalamath came out of the gate fast going to 5-0 but have dropped 3 or their last four games. Granted these games were to Alpine, NSDK, and the suddenly sensational Minnesota Ambush. They played very tough against Northside and then disaster struck http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=149045&pbp_id=5649725 Turnovers your chances of winning. I know this all to well! Their game this week could go either way. If Battle Creek wins it will further muddy the East playoff picture.
5. New Orleans Golden Kangaroos 5-4: If you score a TD you win the game, if you kick a FG you tie the game, if you do this you loose the game http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=149108&pbp_id=5658784 Unfortuanley for New Orleans they did option 3 and lost a tough one against the surging Minnesota Ambush. The bad news is they get Northside next. In fact none of their next three games are going to be easy. If they win two of the three they will be sitting pretty heading into the three game stand known as CAROLINA, Cleveland, and Orlando.
6. Carolina Cardiac Cats 5-4: The Cats put in a nice performace agianst the Bullies this week and showed what they can do when they don't turn the ball over 5 to 8 times a game. They could legitimately give the mole rats a fight IF and that is a big IF they don't turn the ball over.
7. RU Scarlet Knights 5-4: RU won an impressive game this week against Miami and I believe they are finally showing the talent they have had on their roster all year. Tom Savage is playing great football.
8. Battle Creek Bullies 5-4: Congratulations Battle Creek you just were given a win by the former owner of the Austin Lumberjacks. What was probably a blowout loss has now become a blowout win against another western team full of CPUs. Battle Creek is tough and did a nice job passing on a good Carolina defense but couldn't get anything going on the ground. Their schedule is favorable for the most part though.
9. Miami Canes 4-5: I like Miami a lot and think they are a playoff team. I am not looking forward to playing them. Going on schedule strength I think Battle Creeks fortunate turn of events might leave Miami on the outside looking in. It is way to early to know and any of the teams listed above could fall but losing to RU hurts.
10. Minnesota Ambush 3-6: I think 6 early loses is going to cripple the Ambush. I really wish we had played them early because they are fierce right now. Even if they play perfect football I see them finishing at best 9-7 because I can't see them beating Alpine. 9-7 might be good enough to get in, it might not. Either way they have to beat good RU and Carolina teams to even think about playoffs.
PS can Phatz McBeerBelly please get rid of his avatar. I am so sick of seeing that disgustingly fat man everytime I look at your team profile. He has really become your mascot in a way. LOL
11. Miami Roadfrogs 4-5: Sorry Miami I know your record is better than Minnesota and you beat Minnesota, but they have been the better team of recent. I see a healthy list of teams waiting to beat you after your next game. Ending the season with Spicewood is just bad luck.
12. Harrisburg Hawks 3-6: When it comes to stat padding the hawks don't mess around. I think Larry Brown might have doubled his yardage total. Also thank you for bringing back Cameron Purton, it feels like old times. Not only that but his stats have gotten better simply because of the name change. (or the Orlando Ninjas) Anyway I regret to say that I don't see the Hawks in the playoffs which is ashame since I like the hawks as a team. BTW what is up with Red King this year, 4 sacks? He was dominant last season.
13. CAROLINA WOLFPACK 3-6: Carolina did a great job in beating Athens this week. Congrats on the win fellas and good luck this offseason in bringing in some talent.
14. Athens Scoregasms 3-6: Athens has avoided relegation and they played a solid game against CAROLINA. A turnover on a potential game winning drive sealed it. Athens and Carolina both need to focus on building better defenses for next season.
15. Cleveland Kardiac Kids 1-7: Bernie Kosar is leading the league in passing. That kind of reminds me of when Jon Kinta was putting up 4000 yards a year in Detriot.
16. Orlando Ninjas 0-8: The Rams would beat this team
