So a few exciting games the last week. Nothing TOO riveting, but definitely some shake up in the rankings...
The really interesting stuff is coming this week and next.

3.Pacific Tsunami...........8-1.........13-2-1 +...............(6)
......Crushed the Gangsters, but couldn't move over the undefeated teams. But one of them will lose this week.
4.Singapore Bulls.............8-1.........15-1...............(4)
......Vaulted by a team that beat the team they lost to. Only b/c it was such decisive fashion. Still top LP in Zeta.
5.Thailand Titans.............8-1.........13-2-1.........(5)
......Couldn't move up despite not losing last week. Need to do well in coming huge games.
6.Macau Kraits...................8-1.........11-5 +.........(7)
......Didn't lose, but biggest tests come in the next few games. Warriors come to town in the first game of the week.
7.Chiang Mai Gangsters......8-1.........15-1.........(3)
......Suffered 1st crushing defeat. Couldn't put them ahead of a team that didn't lose. Should still end up #2 seed in Zeta. Should...

Threat to Go Deep in Playoffs
8.Mekong Delta Force.........6-3..........13-3 -.........(9)
......Slowly working their way back up the charts as they crush the competition. Could finish as high as 3 as other teams falter. Final tough games coming up
9.Golden Hill Bones.........7-2.........12-4 -.........(13)
......Only loss was a close defeat to the then #1 seeded Warriors. Fighting desperately for a home playoff game.
10.Manila Fisherman.......5-3-1.........10-5-1 +.........(11)
......Couldn't move up more b/c of the Bones strong week. But poised to move up quickly. 1 cupcake, then 2 tough games. An upset could keep them in the top 10, moving up again.
11.Haiphong Bucks..........6-3.........9-6-1 -.........(14)
......3 decent wins moves them up, threatening the top 10. Could push for a home playoff game, but can't lose again.
12.Phuket Vandals...........7-2.........12-4.........(8)
......2 tough loses to top 10 teams drops them down. Can still get a home playoff game, but must beat Mekong or Winona.

Trying to Solidify Playoff Spot
13.Fayetteville Razorbacks.....5-4.........9-6-1.........(15)
......Move up b/c only loss was to the Bulls. And everyone else dropped off for them. Should make playoffs with ease.
14.Phnom Penh Buzzards.......5-3-1.........11-4-1.........(10)
......Loss to Babies really hurt. I mean, who loses to babies? They're small! And Slow!! But they ARE beer drinkers. 3 of their next 4 games will determine their seeding.
15.Mandalay King Cobras...5-4.........9-7.........(12)
......Loss to Jakarta really hurt. Was someone asleep? Playoff hopes are threatened. But not much. Top 4 seed is now out of reach. An Upset in the next 2 games could move them into the top 10.
16.Beer Drinking Babies....4-5.......8-8 +...(20)
......HUGE strides forwards since last PW. Only loss to top 5 Titans. Fighting for a playoff spot in first AA season.
17.Stucknut Triceratops......4-4-1...9-6-1 -...(17)
......Need to go 5-2 to guarantee a playoff spot. A couple of them are trap games too. Must continue to beat the beatable teams. Have done so up to this point.
18.Shanghai Pirates.......4-5....6-10 -...(19)
......Moved up only because everyone else couldn't assert themselves. Can push for a playoff spot, but NEED an upset or 2 or they'll be waiting till next season.

On the Outside Looking In

......Crushed this last week 0-3. Must turn it around NOW or will be sitting at home watching the playoffs in their underwear.
20.Taipei Pirate Hookers......4-4-1...7-8-1...(18)
......Will be on the corner whoring themselves out again this post-season. Team has turned it around though. Should finish with a much better record than last season.
21.Jakarta Vipers............2-7...5-11...(22)
......Great win vs Mandalay, but couldn't take down Killen. Playoff hopes are over, and must focus on next season and tactics from here on out.
22.Killen War Eagles.........2-7...4-12 +...(23)
......Took down Jakarta, but couldn't beat Mandalay. Get ready for recruiting. Playoffs are out this season, but a few strong offseason moves will assure a playoff spot next year.

Awesome Job!!! I am happy we are a top ten team being That almost every team out there levels us. Except for the new guys and the gutted guys and what not. However, I have to question the posistion of the Vandals?

They went 1-2... how can they NOT drop down. Even though they were top 10 loses, I couldn't NOT move them down with a losing record.

Macau... Winona, Stucknut, Golden Hill, and Taipei. That's why I put a + after your LP. You could possibly win ALL of those, let alone atleast 1.

Didn't know that, or I'd have probably tied you 2. As it is, if you guys win your next 3 you're guaranteed a top 6 spot...

Hang on when did the pre-season count for shit? Having said that my spreadsheet has you ranked above them so does that make you feel better?

Pre-season counts when things are really close and you don't have much else to go on. Previous seasons can count to. As can playoff performance.
Pretty much whatever I say b/c it's my Power Rankings

Seriously though, I just use whatever I can find to base my opinion. Most recent results count the most of course.
A great team loses 2, they'll drop a lot, even though they still might be top 3. Power Rankings are just that, power. Not best, or where I think they'll end up, but current power.

Tsunamis should be on the bottom, imo

Snaza, you said the Bulls "Vaulted by a team that beat the team they lost to. Only b/c it was such decisive fashion". But, the team we lost to (Gangsters) lost to the Tsunamis who are still ranked ahead of us (and whom we beat, but it was a close game and I don't begrudge them a higher ranking).

yeah, should have said vaulted past a team they lost to because that team got beat by the team that you beat. Much clearer, imo.

when the top 4 teams in a conference are 8-1, the rankings are going to be hard to judge.

Yeah, when you have the round robin, it's hard to really determine who's on top.
A lost to B who lost to C who lost to A....
So, Pacific moved up b/c they won HUGE over the Gangsters, even though you beat Pacific.
