As a GM of the Mongolian Horde, I was not sure of the Algerian Addiction game, but other than that, we are close to where I thought we would have been.

Yep, I figured the Cheap Toys would be 6-2 after 8 games.

The Garudas will be measuring their season based on success in the postseason and in our regular season matches against top teams. We're happy to have beat Cambodia and Padang, but our toughest matches (Algeria & Horde) are yet to come. A #1 means very little without having played those two teams.

It depends. Before the season started, I thought I'd be lucky to win 3 games total. Since then, I've added some more talent and have been a little more competitive than I thought was possible. Therefore, I raised my expectations to 8 wins. So I'm a little behind the mark. I played both of the gutted teams pre-gut. One of those accounted for my tie (blech). With the tie, I suppose I would be satisfied with 7-8-1. But I'd rather finish above .500, and I'll definitely keep fighting for that goal.

The Mountain Men are pretty happy with the 7-1 start. As expected, they are vastly improved from last year (4-12). With wins over Mount Fiji, Salford, and Ho Chi Minh (all teams that they lost to last year) and a respectable showing against the Garudas (lost 65-0 last season), they are primed for their first shot at the playoffs. Preseason expectations were to make the playoffs, we will find out though if they are good enough to hang around there for a few games.

record isn't really that far off, but we expected to be a better team. Some last minute unexpected personal losses really hit us hard and left us scrambling for some positions we thought were locked up.

Word of advice: No matter how much someone tells you they are in it for the long haul, if they don't have a long term contract, always keep your options open.

But, I think we'll bounce back next year with a strong offseason of hiring. Its so hard to get free agents these days though since money means so little to the players. "Cool name" ranks above good contract when team shopping I think...

No doubt. Escaped with a win at Phuket. A loss there would not have been good.

I expected us to be 7-1 really at this point. 6-2 is not bad, but i had us losing maybe 3 games all year, and i dont think we should have lost to metalheads. No offense, but i just love our team and what colin is doing. But having just beat Goldrush sure does help a lot. But with 2 real challenging mathces left, Demons and Toys, in the season we are pretty much going in the right direction to win this little thing or at least get a good spot in the playoffs.

You scored one TD against the Metalheads and that was on a 72 yard INT, when we were driving down into the red zone. You averaged 2.6 yards per pass and 3.1 per rush. I do think that loss was deserved.
