We blow out our team, stay undefeated, and drop a point? What is this, ESPN power rankings?

LOL

We beat Krakow and were supposed to lose and drop a point.

It's not necessarily what you did, but what another team did to beat you out for it.

First, we haven't played any of the top teams yet, so the rankings don't know where to place us. Second, an untimely tactics fix for River City earned them the win in a hardfought game. Third, we don't run up the score enough .

Once we hit week 9, the rankings will know where to place us. I'm surprised that we haven't dropped off entirely for the time being.

Wait, didn't this happen last season?

Side note: Last week's rankings were just me BS'ing them. This week, I actually used a formula. It's roughly based off the same things that the projected standings are used for.

You do have a pretty rough schedule...This week you have a much improved Rammstein...then you start hitting the big boys...

10/08/2008 Targoviste Impalers(42) (-3) Matchup
10/10/2008 at Odessa Pipers(42) (-3) Matchup
10/12/2008 Boston Piggers(39) (0) Matchup
10/14/2008 at Barcelona Chupacabras(42) (-3) Matchup
10/16/2008 Brown Bay Packers(45) (-6) Matchup

With the formula, those 14 points we gave up to Bergen Storm should be what puts us at 10th. The rankings would have dropped us further, but it ran out of teams to pull, as the 2-5 team lost to Everett (1-6) this morning.

Rammenstein is, hands down, the weakest team we play in the next nine weeks. And that's saying something.

I was pretty concerned about this game, as your team is much better than your record shows.

gg, and if you can overcome the revamped running game of River City, I fully expect your team to win out the rest of the season.
