So, I watched the VP debate last night and realized that Sarah Palin got her ass handed to her by Biden.

Is this someone we really want a heart beat away from being President?

she didn't get her ass handed to her. Biden misrepresented several things in his retorts. It was blatently obvious that she was a Washington Outsider and she admitted it. To me, she can relate to me better than Biden can. Biden said he has held a public office for 35 years. That is a knock against him if you ask me. You could tell Palin is very compassionate about Americans, I didn't get that from Biden.

That being said, I'd rather have Palin as President than any of the other 3.

OK, I'm going to pretend that wasn't said...

...also on the same note, one of the biggest things that I noticed was Biden hit her pretty good on the fact that Palin and McCain plan on keeping the majority of the Bush administrations policies and she had no response for that whatsoever...she did not deny it and in fact on multiple occasions she changed the subject.

BTW, do you agree on that recession yet?

I think Palin comes across better. I think she truly does relate better. I think she is most likely smarter and brighter than Biden. However, her policies are not something that I can ever hope to agree with. Not that I like Biden either, but she is too out there for me.

We aren't in a recession yet, that's a fact. As a matter of fact, I went to a silent auction yesterday and nobody had problems bidding. Several items when for around $400. That's not what you would see if everybody was worried about their money. Take a look around you, are you seeing people buying stuff? Why is the Nintendo Wi(however you spell that) always sold out? Look at how many XBox 360s they've sold year to date. That's a big clue as to no recession. Are we in a slow down? yes. But no where has it receeded yet. Unemployment has gone up but not to crisis levels. All that you are seeing is fear and that's it. Financial institutions are taking it on the chin currently and for good reason, they did some stupid things and we will have to pay for that now.

Please quit watching the nightly news. That will help you more than anything.

As far as McCain's policies, who knows just yet. I can tell you, I don't buy into much of what Obama promises. He's just as inexperienced as Palin if we look at it from your point of view.

Blaming the current economic plan on either party is stupid. I could get into it, but will not on a goallineblitz message board.

Anyone who blames what's goin on a specific party is a liberal or conservative homer. Also, anyone who thinks either Biden or Palin won the debate going away last night is also a homer.

For the record, both presidential candidates are awful.

Finally, some discussions on these dead boards. I like it.

===============================

On a side note, has anyone seen the preview for the new movie 'Religulous.' Looks very entertaining. I'm a Bill Maher fan. If you haven't seen it, view it here.

Are you kidding me? Until people stop spending money on worthless crap and actually start putting money away, I won't believe it. Just because everyone has been overspending on junk and buying MORE than they can afford for the past 10 years (thank you Fannie Mae) doesn't mean now is a recession, we are just going back to the way the economy should be.

They haven't been saying the middle class is the new lower class recently for no reason. I mean if you weren't spending $400,000 on a house, you were poor!!!

Ok, keep in mind that I am pipping in from north of the boarder and with enough issues in our government but, while you may say the US is not in a recession just yet, you are so close to the line that it is truly ones opinion on whether or not you are actually in one (and regardless of the bailout $700 Billion good luck paying that back... the US is headed down that slippery road). As far as the candidates, I watched both debates (we had our leader debate at the same time), and both countries are in big trouble as for their leaders for the next four years. While it will be rougher in the US then in Canada, we can all come together in saying that we will be counting the days until the next election....
