Zeta has more gutted teams, but they have the stronger top tier teams IMO. Alpha doesn't have the gutted teams, but hae a few lower leveled teams having a hard time competing.

Right now I really don't know since we just got moved up. How bout the veterans of this league, what do you guys think?

well, perhaps 'test' the gutted teams? I'm going to send over a friendly challenge to those teams because i'm curious, as to out not only us, but they would do. It'll allow all of us to see just how good the teams are in likewise talent. I doubt there's a downside to that.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Zeta has won the inter-conference Week 16 the last two years. That's not a terribly accurate indicator of which conference is better, but it has to count for something, I think.

I think it's pretty much even at the moment.

I think it counts for nothing because match ups matter so much there. Last year you guys had plenty of midlevel gutted teams playing our weakest teams while our mid level teams were playing your top teams. I think the championship shows which was better last year.

I disagree here. I know it's not a tried-and-true accurate indicator, but still, if a conference wins the inter-conference games, then by that token, were not at least more than half of one conference's teams better than the other conference's teams on that given day?

Well I'll say ty to the Los Cabolo Sharks for accepting the friendly challenge, both our teams will be able to see how we match up against pretty equal talent.

No, no, it's accurate because it makes my side right. It's like you aren't even paying attention, dude.

Pot, meet kettle. I can say that 2+2=8 all day long, but it doesn't make it right. Below, I will provide more evidence to support my claim.

I've said twice already that it's not totally accurate, as nothing will ever be "perfectly" accurate unless each team scrimmages all other 16 teams from the other conference, and we do a comparative study therefrom. Since we can't spend XPs like Monopoly money to do this, it's not feasible. The interconference matches are the best we have right now, and debating that it is accurate is a "non sequitur".

When you win it by margins of 10-6 and 11-5 (which is what I believe the score has been the last two years, respectively, unless I'm getting leagues confused), that's more than just "bad matchups". Especially considering that its a random draw. That's a skewing of talent.

Even if one conference beats another conference 9-7, 9 teams from Conference A were better than 7 from conference B in Week 16. The signifies that, at the VERY least, the average of the teams in Conference A are slightly better than the average of those in Conference B. Hence, the significance, albeit imperfect.

I must've been tired.
Looking at the timestamp, I had just got out of class when I posted this. That's probably why!
