The Favorite

Wollongong Vampires – Games are getting closer as the competition gets better, but they are still the class of the conference.

The Contenders

Newcastle Minotaurs – Impressive showing over the Endzone. Get a couple game break before the Vamp showdown.
Walhalla Dingos – Showed that they are the real deal.
SAFSrbija Endzone – Beaten soundly by the Minotaurs, but still in a decent position.

Playoff Contenders

Vanuatu Volcano – Embarrassing loss, TOs killed them and showed that they have some work to do.
Antarctica Seals – Lost to a tough Dingo team, can coast through the newest gutted team next week.
Chillicothe Convicts – Survived their beatings, now on to the rest of the season.
Tuvalu Matadors – Won again, a chance to show their mettle next weak against the Dingos.
Sydney Hammerhead – Nice win, will be in the playoffs if they keep it up.

Relegation Battle

Fiji Demon Dawgs – Big win for them, but probably won’t be enough to get into the playoffs.
Hattrick Srbija – Easy win, with possibly another in queue.
UWS OUTLAWS – Couldn’t get the Matadors how about the Hammerhead?
Las Vegas NightStalkers – Tough going but there is some winnable games coming up.
Cairns Fire – Beat the gutting Mutineers, need a good showing against Hattrick.
Micronesian Mutineers – Losing finally got to them and CPU took over.
Huli Warriors – Be a long rest of the season and relegation.

Top Games

Dingos at Matadors – Newcomers battle it out.

Vampires at Endzone – Endzone could surprise the Vamps.

Demon Dawgs at Convicts – A loss for either team would be very costly.

Good writeup again Nats....thanks for taking the time to do this.

Sorry to see the Mutineers go the way of CPU. They seemed like they were rebounding nicely late last season.

Always a good read.

GG, to Vanuatu it was a close one. Us Demon Dawgs still need to get our running game going, and cure the fumble problems, but it was definitely a great morale booster for the team to stretch out the win. Well played game by both teams on both sides of the ball.

I had to back away from the keyboard for a bit, we are very disappointed. The 103 yd INT return really changed the game, we thought we were putting the game away then it turned out way different. I'm much calmer now.

GG Dawgs, you guys have made great strides, hopefully this was the wakeup call our little dots needed and they will be more focused for the rest of the season. It is the equipment manager's fault, instead of doing bed check he took 'em all out to a strip joint and made it rain, Pac-man's influence stretches even in Vanuatu.

I am selling Fiji Demon Dawg commemorative t-shirts at the next Seals home game at Glacier Field at Amundsen Stadium.

No ill will towards Vanuatu, but any hopes the Seals have of hosting a home playoff games goes right through our game with the Volcano. The Vanuatu loss was the only bright spot in an otherwise drab day of getting our butts kicked by the Dingos. We are expecting a tough one for sure and still very wary of the SAFS/Convicts/Matadors games as a minimum.

Zeta is just a good, competitive conference this year.

Seriously, lots of competition, making for a good season. Seems the old saying "any given sunday" is very apparent in Zeta this season.
