......Lost to Tsunami in close game, but LP has them higher. And have won more decisively.

......Suffered 1st loss, but won a lot of tough games. Can easily jump to #3 if anyone falters. Anyone.
7.Macau Kraits............5-1.........11-5.........(6)
......Just beat Mandalay fairly handily. Should be higher, but games were easier. Can move up to #5 by next PW if they keep winning, even if no one else loses.
8.Phuket Vandals.........6-0..........15-1.........(11)
......Only 1 tough game (GHB) so far keeps them lower. Next 2 games could move them to #3 if they sweep. Then 2 easy, then 2 more tough. Rough road ahead after an easy start.
9.Mekong Delta Force......3-3.........12-4.........(8)
......Able to only drop 1 position b/c only lost to teams higher. Next 3 are easy wins, and they might move up by next PW. But the 3 after those will tell the tale. Gold, Mand, Phuk will be the games that decide their season.

Solid Playoff Contenders
10.Phnom Penh Buzzards....3-2-1.........11-4-1.........(12)
......2 close loses to high teams means they could be in the top 5 by the end of the season. 3 easy, then 3 of 4 tough. Week 10-13 will determine their season.
11.Manila Fisherman.......3-2-1.........10-5-1.........(13)
......Tied Buzzards, but LP has them lower, and SOS has them much lower. Still have 3 top ranked teams left. Could fall further unless they grab an upset or 2.
12.Golden Hill Bones........5-1.........12-4.........(14)
......Another tough team to place. Hard to put them this low, but tough part of schedule is still coming. Needs a couple of upsets to get a home playoff game.
13.Mandalay King Cobras.....4-2.........10-6.........(9)
......Hard putting them so low, but loses to Bones and Macau left me no choice. Week 10 & 11 will determine their season. Need atleast 1 win from Mekong or Phuket to get a home playoff game.
14.Haiphong Bucks..........3-3.........8-8.........(15)
......4 easier games coming up could vault them up the PW, but then they have 3 tough games left after that. Need to keep beating teams they should to make the playoffs.
15.Fayetteville Razorbacks...3-3.........11-5.........(10)
......1-3 since last PW hurt. I think LP is wrong, and they could be hurting for a playoff spot. Needs to step it up to make sure they make it in.

......HUGE strides forwards since last PW, 4-0. Needs to win 2 of the next 4 to have a shot at the playoffs. LP could be wrong, but time will tell.

......2-2 since last PW, But needs to win 4 of their next 5 to make the LP right. CAN make the playoffs, but it's time to buckle down now!
18.Taipei Pirate Hookers.....3-2-1...7-8-1...(19)
......Best team avatar in GLB will only get you so far. Tough half of schedule coming up. Can prove LP wrong, but must pull off an upset. Has the last spot right now, can they hold onto it?
19.Shanghai Pirates.........3-3...6-10...(23)
......Fisherman loss hurt, but if they can pull an upset or 2, they could be looking at a playoff spot. Very possible. And very impressive for the rookies.
20.Beer Drinking Babies......2-4...8-8...(17)
......Loss to Hurricane hurt. Must win 4 of their next 6. If they can, they'll make the playoffs the first year in. Impressive! Both 'A' teams are pushing hard to be taken seriously.
21.Shanghai Red Army......2-4...6-10...(16)
......Despite the naysayers, they still have a good shot at the playoffs. Have only lost to 4 of the top teams, and only 2 of them left. Must win every other game though, starting with a tough matchup against the Pirate Hookers.

Threats next year - Upsets this year?
22.Jakarta Vipers.........1-5...5-11...(26)
......No real shot at the playoffs. But if they keep beating the teams they should, should be a real threat for not only the playoffs next year, but possibly a home game.
23.Killen War Eagles.......1-5...3-13...(24)
......Both 'A' teams have been impressive, playing tough teams closer than most would expect. Also should make the playoffs next year if they can keep their core together. Challenge now is to prove the LP wrong and pull off an upset or 2.

......Huge upset win over Hellfighters can keep them from dropping to A. If they can pull out just one more, they keep themselves in AA (baring GLB changes).

Glad to see the Gangsters have moved up. The bulls game was extremely close and we still have a few tough opponents left. I really am looking forward to the playoffs, and hopefully a few home games since we've never hosted a playoff game. IF we do host a playoff game, the one team I DON'T want to play is the Buzzards. That team can flat game plan, and has taken two of the best teams on their schedule to the wire. I think most of the rankings are right, but they will move up before the season is over.

We'll also get to see how we rate vs #5

Wasn't saying you would sweep, just that you'd be #3 ahead of the Bulls if you DID sweep those. Winning 1 is much more likely. But look at the LP. It has you beating both teams!

Buzzards, yeah, they have that tough stretch. Could be #3 in Zeta if everything goes their way, but 4 or 5 is more likely.

Nice write up, Snaza. I think the Gangsters may be a little low, as they've beaten 3 of the top 14 teams (Bulls, Buzzards and Bucks), whereas you guys have only beaten 1 top 14 team (Mekong) and Lost City has only beaten two (Macau and Mekong. . . poor Mekong, tough early schedule), but these things will work themselves out as the season goes along.

Yeah, LP was the main reason, and past history. Gangsters probably should be #1, but it was such a close game they still could've (should've?) lost. Didn't think it was enough to bump them up, all the way from 7 to 1.

No, I know you werent saying that we would but just saying "if", is a loooong ways from where we were last season.

Macau really handed our asses to us, and Lost City, even though they beat us 20-7, they gained 393.5 yds to our 89!

So to even imply it even as a possibility is something for us to be excited about.

And great job with the write-ups.

I used to do write-ups for AAA too. I would do games and previews w predictions.

Man these things take alot of time to compile the info you wanna put in it and to try and keep it fresh w/o writing the same stuff every weeek was difficult.

Ah, gotcha gotcha. Well you guys have made HUGE strides. A lot of teams in Alpha have. It's a little scary actually. I really hope we move up this year, because next year it might be even harder.

Winona you would rank first not for the fluke pts you won by but the #1 ranked offense and #1 ranked defense at this point.You forget the fumble from no where going into the endzone and the pickoff in the endzone. That's 14 and I would beat you by 1.So don't validate your ranking by our game because Lost City handled us better I think. Per Macau - I don't know that we won "handily" against Mandalay. They had a nice comeback in the 4th to make it a bit too close for comfort, but we also started the 4th strong as well. Really close game through three quarters.

That being said, Macau should obviously be ranked number 1, despite our loss to Lost City by 27. The AI cheated by favoring Lost City's higher "levels" and "skills".
