The Knightmares and, believe it or not, the Alchemy. As I stated in the last week's projections, your conference's game predictions will be skewed due to the two gutted teams and the fact that everyone is putting up 200 points against them. Hopefully everything will 'normal out' around midseason.

Looking at the "toughest schedule so far" list, it's clear to see why these rankings come up the way they do.

Of course, you can only play who is on your schedule, so it can't be taken as condemnation of Christchurch, but Tonga does have a legitimate beef with the system.

Also interesting how we project two 0-16 teams in the conference. I think they broke the spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet doesn't know how to treat the week 16 games. It will often credit each team playing with a win. Right now it looks like there are 4 more wins than losses for this division. I haven't don the math but I bet that doesn't match with the Alpha results.

Edit: Of course, I forgot they play each other. My spreadsheet doesn't have two 0-16 teams, I think a mistake was made here.

The problem is that neither the Brown Bears nor the Sharks have scored any points. I guess the spreadsheet predicts the PF & PA based on the scoring patterns. Right now the spreadsheet shows a 0 - 0 score for the Brown Bears vs. the Sharks....hence two 0-16 teams. Unfortunately he locked the spreadsheet so I am unable to fix the problem.

So, we're like Auburn 2004, right? Undefeated, played the toughest competition save 1 team, yet are on the outside looking in. I get it!

Nah, you can only play who's in front of you, and it'll all balance out. Starting with Week 6.

Lolz. If we manage 10 wins, let alone that 13-3, I'll be ecstatic. I figured that pasting by El Fuego would have put us in our place in the power rankings, but maybe our pasting was pretty strong compared to their other wins.

He had a stroke of some sort and is incapacitated (at least that's what the forums said). Apparently it was very serious. I tried e-mailing him a while back and he didn't reply.

Oh damn... didn't know that.

wow, didn't realize that. i wonder how old he was. i wouldn't think this would be a 40+ type game that the older generation would play, other than that, he could have been younger. either way, hate to hear of anyone having a stroke.
