Disclaimer: This is data plugged into the spreadsheet from Satchmo-n-Dizzy's spreadsheet. It contains no subjective judgments from me. With limited game data, it is hard to trust its accuracy, but it will get better with time. Teams that have had blowouts are likely to have inflated rankings. I do not trust its predictions at all for the interconference games, so I don't include them.

Week 3 Projections-

Western Conference:
1) Death Valley (15-0)
2) Austin (13-2)
3) Orlando (13-2)
4) Lima (12-3)
5) Florida (11-4)
6) Tucson (9-6)
7) Putnam Co. (9-6)
8) Los Angeles (7-8)
9) Las Vegas (7-8)
10) Waller (7-8)
11) Seattle (6-9)
12) Phoenix (5-10)
13) Cleveland (3-12)
14) Carlona (2-13)
15) West Lawn (1-14)
16) Team Winner (0-15)

Eastern Conference:

1) Nashville (15-0)
2) Columbus (14-1)
3) Rhode Island (13-2)
4) Manhattan (12-3)
5) Detroit (11-4)
6) Vermont (9-6)
7) Montana (8-7)
8) Crimson (8-7)
9) Bowdoin (7-8)
10) New Hampshire (7-8)
11) Destin (6-9)
12) Buffalo (4-11)
13) Boston (3-12)
14) Thorndale (2-13)
15) Lowcountry (1-14)
16) Da NOLA (0-15)

I make no claims about the accuracy of it. You have played no gutted teams yet, and lost to New Hampshire, while we got to play a team we beat 100-0, so we will be heavily overrated for now.

That's Ok,

I'm gonna use it as bulletin board material in any case. By the time I get done with it, it will sound like you think we are bugs!

No offense...but...9-6?

We beat a pretty solid NH team....by a good margin...

Lost to a good Crimson team....

And really blew out a good Destin team....

We havent played a team that has been gutted....but...

No way we finish 9-6.

That would be amazing if Austin went 13-2 before interconference. But the spreadsheet works best if used midway though the season.

Yes, but we are currently 1-2, and ranked #10, which means the spreadsheet still thinks we suck. Having been on teams which included Satch since my first day here back in season 2, I know that it doesn't start to look at all realistic until about week 5.
Don't worry about it for now. Once people give it enough data its actually halfway decent though.

Dont sweat it Dolf...im sure we all know there is no way that VT is gonna finish that low, or that my team will EVER go undefeated...i love my team and my players, but im a realist. It is however nice to look at, even for a brief moment in time

Honestly, i think i can already call the 1-7 spots in the playoffs in the east this year, and #8 is a close race between 3 other teams. There's no way i would even think of trying to accurately predict which order those teams will fill out 1-7 though, because we're all in for a season of knockdown drag out brawls at the top, and its anyone's fight to win....just like last season

I've seen it make even wilder predictions this early. Nashville is given the benefit of 2 blowouts. I think the basics of it is it figures out how much you score on teams vs. their average, how much they score on you vs. their average, then combines it for each matchup. So if you beat a team that has played crappy teams by 50-0, and they normally play games that are 14-3, you scored 20x what they normally get scored on them.

Now if only we actually had a chance to get that win/loss record

It seems that this thing is very wrong atm with the gutted teams ruining a lot of the standings. Just to take my tem for example (Waller Knights), is expected to lose 8 out of the next 12 games, even though we've been 14-2 / 15-1 the past 2 seasons. So, just off that alone, I think it's sckewed a bit.
