Hopefully we add another epic game to the rivalry tomorrow night.

Season 2
Orlando - 13 Melbourne - 13

Orlando has a 13-10 lead with 2:22 remaining in the game. Melbourne gets the ball back on the 50 yard line, and drives all the way down to Orlando's 3 yard line. The Prime Timers D keeps them from scoring the go ahead TD, but Melbourne kicks the game tying FG with 00:32 seconds remaining. Neither team could get close enough in OT to get a game winning score.

Season 3
Orlando - 24 Melbourne - 19

Melbourne got the ball back with 2:05 remaining in the 4'th quarter. DeAndre Love, QB of Melbourne, geared what seemed to be a game winning drive that started from their own 28 yard line, and would come down to one final play on Orlando's 7 yard line with 00:28 seconds remaining in the game. Love would drop back in the pocket, scan the field, find Adam Fletcher open in the flats, dump it off, and the Orlando's LB, Rocky Balboa would jar the ball loose with a devastating hit, allowing Quan Jones to recover the football, ending the game.

Season 4
Melbourne - 30 Orlando - 24

Melbourne led 30-24 with 1:32 in the game. They had the ball on their own 37, and a questionable call by their coach, decided to go for it on 4'th and 10. The pass by EJ Ponder to Julius Swift would be incomplete, giving Orlando great field position with 1:28 remaining on Melbourne's 37. Charlie Ward would quickly throw a 21 yard strike to Willie Reid, pushing the ball to Melbourne's 16, another quick 6 yard gain, and Orlando looked to be on the verge of winning the game due to a questionable 4'th down call. Charlie Ward would throw his final pass of the night into Melbourne's CB Tee Bone with 1:19 on Melbourne's 10 yard line to end the game. Another game that came down to the final drive.

Season 4 *PLAYOFFS*
Melbourne - 24 Orlando - 23

Orlando went into the playoffs with revenge on their mind. They had a great game plan, shut down Noles Dynasty, holding him to 0 sacks and 0 pressures. The out gained Melbourne in total yards, rushing, and passing, and had 0 turnovers. Orlando appeared to be heading to the 2'nd round. The kicker for Orlando would miss the games first XP attempt, which only put 6 on the board, instead of 7, no big deal, right? Combine that with 2 missed FG's throughout the game, and then allowing Melbourne one final drive where they would drive from their own 26 with 1:51, and then EJ Ponder would throw a 11 yard TD strike with 00:11 seconds remaining against Orlando's 4'th string CB in the corner of the end-zone making the score 24-23. That's an XP away from being a tied game, or one made FG from being a W. Tough loss for us, but a great game to watch, and just another epic battle between Oceania's greatest rivalry.

Looking forward to another great game, Melbourne. Hopefully we don't miss an XP and two FG's, which allow you to drive for the winning TD this time

Great to see a rivalry.

The Inmates don't seem to have a strong one. Portland would be the closest but after we beat them this season, they will have only one win on us.

I really enjoyed reading this...
- not really sure who I'd consider The Swashbucklers rival, but it'd be cool to see more storylines like this brought to light. well done.

Ahem.

I consider the Rain and Inmates to be the top two rivals of the Devils. No disrespect to the Swashbucklers, Dingoes, or any other of the quality teams in Zeta of course.

Las Vegas would still be the rival of everybody if they didn't up and move out on us.

Indeed. The chatter doesn't seem to be there...I guess it's more of a quiet rivalry.
