Pretty simple, really.
The formula takes in the ranking for each team on passing yards, rushing yards, passing yards allowed, and rushing yards allowed. The number following is average rank of that team in all those categories.
Obviously, early in the season this is scewed a bit do to some teams having easier early schedules than others, but by midseason we should get a good feeling about who the elite teams are (as if we don't - Tonga - already - Tonga - know - Tonga).
The ferrets were a major distraction, but in the end they got their when a bit their heads off. At least, I think it was their heads
1 Pioneers 4.33 - The Pioneers
are lead by a dominating defense and a strong
running game.
2 Ikale Tahi 6.17 - The Tahi are
the only team ranked top ten in every category
(the 'Nites are close with an 11th ranked pass
offense)
3 Tiger Sharks 7.17 - With all due
respect the Ti-Sharks are probably the
pretenders among the top ranked teams, in
large part due to their win over the Reef
Sharks.
4 Incinerators 7.67 - The Incinerators
are blessed with the leagues top ranked scoring
offense, which makes up for their middle of the
pack performance on defense.
5 Nites 7.83 - Like the Tahi, the 'Nites
do it all well. Except recruiting. They suck at
recruiting.
6 Flying Monkeys 9.33
7 Heat 9.83
8 Machine 10.00
