Warrior General Games

The Pornos and the Warriors have had a history of close games in the last
couple of seasons. Their season 5 match up in Singapore would be no exception.
In season 4, Singapore dazzled on special teams with a kick return for a touch
down and a late 4th quarter comeback to force OT. They then pounded their
running game through a tired Warrior's defense for a victory.

1st Quarter

The Warrior's would flaunt the strength of their defensive line early, with
The Apocolypse breaking through on this series to force a tough 3rd

Ujung Pandang came out firing, lead by an explosive kick off return by newly
signed CB Malvolio Antigonus. Later downs would see a sharp strike to Ikan
Catchum that required a touchdown saving, diving tackle by Kevin Greely
A defensive stop by Bullet Tooth Tony on 2nd and inches would only lead to a break
away run by Kija Kah on 3rd down.

After an 81 yard kick by Singapore's Sergei Zatkoff, Barvaris Backson
would start the Warriors off from their 20 with a deep toss to Alfsonso Golden.
Kevin Greely again makes a touchdown saving tackle. However, Kija Kah
would break loose again later in the drive.

The Warriors, seeking to gain momentum would force an immediate 3 and out
after the kickoff. Singapore's defense had their bold reply here with an Emmitt
Thomas INT. With morale skyrocketting, Red ruM again finds Todd Hanson
with a sharp pump fake to send Phillip ller in the wrong direction.

1st Quarter Ends tied up at 14

2nd Quarter

With another booted touchback by Sergei Zatkoff, the 2nd quarter would become
a defensive battle through the first six minutes. El Matador would lay a brutal hit
on Drasi Shroud. Luckily Bart Bravado was near to pick up the pieces. Red ruM
would again pick on Phillip ller, this time hitting Brian Robiskie for 80 yards.

The Warriors respond with 12 play drive into the endzone, started by this
14 yard dash by Drasi Shroud. Austin Henley provides the punctuation
on the goalline.

Singapore sees more stellar special teams play from Sergei Zatkoff with
an answer in the form of a 55 yard field goal and another booted
touchback on the kickoff. Dismayed by the long field ahead, Short
Gain tosses it to Dick Pounder for the Warrior's 2nd INT.

The quarter would come to a close with the Pornos threatening in the red
zone. DT The Horseman gives Red ruM a shot before his halftime
entertainment and Sergei boots in another fieldgoal.

The Singapore Nose enter Halftime with a 27-21 lead over the
Warriors. The Warriors had bruised their way into the endzone but the
Pornos did with their spread eagle offense and quick scores.

The 3rd Quarter begins with defense. Dickie Chan staggers a Ujung
Pandang drive with a crushing sack on Short Gain while the Horseman
stands up a Pornos rush on 3rd and 2.

Ujung Pandang answers with a balanced 12 play drive, including this lob
to Ikan Ketchum and another to Alfonso Golden into the endzone.

Ujung Pandang snatches the lead by 1 with 3 minutes remaining in the 3rd.
After a defense stop by each team, Singapore again finds their momentum
with their own 12 play drive in the 4th. An Saba Nur would make a clean
grab up the left side and Warrior's FS Clinton Hart, Jrwould do his best to
stall the drive stripping the ball from MadDog Tannen. The drive stalls on the 23
and Sergei brings his lucky boot to the field again. 40 yards: Good.

After a strong defensive series by both teams, 6 Minutes remain and
the Warriors have the ball. Drasi Shroud breaks around the corner and
dashes for 20 yards before he's chased down. Ikan Catchum finds two
more grabs. One for 22 yards, one for a TD. Ujung Pandang takes the lead
35-30 with 1:52 remaining.

The Porno Stars have time for one more good drive and Red Rum gets to
putting the ball in the air readily. 4th and Inches and they need a TD:
Rum finds Hanson for the 1st. Speedy McCatchalot and Brian Robiskie
seal the game with 40 remaining on the clock with two clutch catches.
Robiskie beats the Warrior's star CB Kenoh Lerith on this
beautiful throw.

Despite a good kick return, the Warriors are unable to make use of the
short field before them and Singapore comes away with it: 37-35

I only seem to put these together for games against Singapore, since they
go to the wire and feature obscene numbers of lead changes.
