Duck’s Post game Week 1 Lion Rankings
1. Somalia Wasps (1- 0) In the game of the week in Lion the Wasps despite 4 picks form QB Charlie Kalkman won in a instant classic 27-24 over the Ethiopian Starvin' Marvins. In over time the Marvins went 3 and out with a questionable rush call on 3rd and 7 in overtime. The Wasps then had a 17 play drive end in the game winning field goal. Next week the Wasps face off at Zimbabwe Bush Squirrel Rebellion . A key story line in the game is how Wasps former RB Huskersoup does vs his old team. The Wasps are picked by many as a league favorite .
2. Kalahari Night Riders (1-0) The Night Riders had a easy 45-21 win over Zimbabwe Bush Squirrel Rebellion . Last years league MVP Drew Seabass had 3 passing td’s and no int’s They forced 3 int’s and are one of the better teams in the league. Next game is Uganda SilverBacks . The Night Riders Wasps game later this year could be for the league title.
3. Ethiopian Starvin' Marvins (0-1) . The Marvins despite being outgained by the Wasps forced overtime lead by a Pass D that force 4 int’s on one of the league’s best team. They could of won the game vs the Wasps. The Marvin’s have never beaten the Wasps. Expect them to bounce this vs the. Sahara Death Stalkers
4. Zimbabwe Beavers(1-0) you may ask how they are below a 0-1 team well they played the Death Stalkers while the Marvins played the Wasps . The Beavers are v ery talented and can make at a top 3 seed easily. This week they play the Sahara ShadowChasers
5. A. Mozambique Starvin Marvins (1–0) a newcomer to league led by a Owner who really knows what they are doing. They shocked AA last year a league I’m also in . This year should be harder for them to repeat. They beat 52-13 a decent South African Bulls team. This week they play a very poor Outlaws team and will go 2-0 setting up a early season test at Jupiter Snipers ( week 3)
5 B. Egypt Empire (1-0) - They had a week one 44-17 over Jupiter who demoted from the Pro League. The Empire can’t seem to put it together for some reason could this be the year they figure things out. They have a Week 2 test vs Fort Wayne a game that will tell some things about them.
7. Tuscaloosa Bulls (1-0) . Welcome to the league and a easy win over the worst team in the league really doesn’t prove a thing. They play Jupiter Snipers and should go 2 and 0 . The three games that follow will test them. (FT Wayne, Night Riders, Wasps)
8.Sahara ShadowChasers 1-0 the Shadow Chasers looking to bounce back from a early playoff exit had a late come back to beat the Killer Frogs by 2 . A huge week 2 test awaits them as they play the Beavers.
9. Fort Wayne Generals 1-0. A 22-13 over the Silverbacks while a win wasn’t what I expected out of Fort Wayne. This team is capable of making the playoffs. They have a test next game vs Egypt Empire.
10. Zimbabwe Bush Squirrel Rebellion(0-1) A team that while I have ranked 9th this week will move up this year in my rankings or so I think. They got beat 45-21 by the Night Riders. They have a game coming where they can try to shock the league . Next up week 2 vs Somalia Wasps
11.African Killer Frogs(0-1) A two point loss vs a playoff team from last year is a good sign for the Frogs. We will see how they do vs the so called upper tier teams this year. This week they have a game where they should win. Next up at South African Bulls
12 Uganda SilverBacks (0-1) a team thats on a losing streak and had tough loss this week. They are a season away at least but they can upset some people and don’t overlook them . This week though 0-2 is looming as they play a league favorite . Next up Kalahari Night Riders
13. Jupiter Snipers(0-1) A newcomer to our league via demotion . While they upgraded their roster in the offseason and will probably 4-5 games this isn’t their year. They Play Tuscaloosa Bulls
14.South African Bulls (0-1) this team has been through some problems as you recall they were once a top team in this league till Mr Cohen took care of that. A win this vs African Killer Frogs would be huge as week 3 they play the outlaws.
15. Sahara Death Stalkers (0-1) A team that really hasn’t do anything in the entire history of this league. I don’t see too many wins coming for this team and not this week vs the Ethiopian Starvin' Marvins
16. Madagascar Outlaws (0-1) A playoff team that well was gutted basically best of luck to the new owner. They are looking at demotion this year but if the new owner keeps at it they should be back in a season or two. This week expect another 150+ point loss at Mozambique Starvin Marvins
