I think the Fisherman's score appeared fairly close though in reality it was a blowout. They seemed to shoot themselves in the foot a bit on drives. I hope that's something that will carry over to week 2 for them. We'll need it with all the monsters they have on that roster.

The Tsunamis really dominated a solid looking Hurricane team.

Thoughts? I mean other than the Alpha kind.

Well, looks like we have another passive owner on the Leopards. What's that make it now, 3x strike out in ownership? There may not have been any surprises, but I am baffled that this team I'm on (get me out now please! *sigh*) only lost by 4 pts to Saigon. How the hell did that happen? I was waiting for a 100+ pt blowout! I mean we don't even have a left side on the OL. The defensive line against their lvl 27 OL looked to be a joke, but Saigon didn't even get double-digit pancakes for anyone. I have no idea what the heck happened, but to only lose that game by 4 is just un-fucking-believable, IMO. Did Saigon just take it easy or something? I'm rather baffled, TTTT.

I was thinking the same thing about everything kind of shaking out as expected in the first game.

The Gangsters game was probably closer in the end then it should have been. The Fisherman gave themselves more work (let in 2 TDs early) then they should have. And the Tsunamis beating the snot out of the Hurricanes wasn't really surprising as much as... hmmm... what's the word I'm looking for?... oh yeah, scary.

So basically the lessons learned were: 7 expected winners all destined to meet in the playoffs, with the battle now between the Hellfighters, Hurricane, Babies, and Sharks for the 8th spot.

The gap between the haves & the have-nots in Zeta appears about the same. It could be worse, over in Alpha they've got the haves and the "why-even-bothers".

Only with a couple teams. It was about time we got the free stats. You guys have had Zeta teams like that both seasons.

Venom anyone?

As bad as the Venom were, they were nothing compared to the Bushidos. That's a new level of lowness there. I'd like to see you top teams in alpha run your whole line-ups in reverse (O for D). You'd probably still put up 60.

You guys have the ultimate chance to answer all the GLB questions: How many missed tackles could a DT playing HB cause? Can LBs complete a pass? Can a punter return kicks for touchdowns?

Definitely a better deal for stats to have the gutted/slow building teams this season now that energy gets reset prior to every game. No longer a need to play on relaxed or alter the AI to keep from blowing a team out and getting your offense's energy destroyed.

Hmm I think those four teams will be lucky to be in the race for the playoffs. Take the seven playoff teams from last year (that have all improved) and add the Fishermen and I think you have your eight. I think youre forgetting the Buzzards because they lost.

Unless a couple of teams fail financially I dont see any of last years playoff teams faltering and the Fishermen look pretty nasty.

We had a pretty big offseason in terms of recruiting. We got some pretty tough games early, which is really not was I was hoping for due to our low chemistry, but I guess we gotta live with it. We don't have a lot of money in the bank right now, but we will have enough to make it through the season and give out some upgrades along the way. We would have more money, but I completely forgot I had a loan out and did some things I thought were smart at the time, but ended up being stupid just because my memory sucks. Oh well. Looking forward to next week though. Should be a great game.

You are right. I did forget to put them in. They are obviously still in the hunt.

There is no shame in losing to the Gangsters. (He says, knowing the Bulls play the Gangsters in game 3.)

i was a little surprised at the score of the Tsunamis game, the Hurricane have a very good team, wasn't expecting to put up those kind of number on them.

called it on the Gangsters though, it was their D that saved them. A lot of teams are going to have trouble scoring on them.

so, is there any point in Zeta going for any trophies this season?

alpha has to many cupcakes for us to compete for them. I mean 16 passing TDs in one game.....just wait until alpha cat teams play both Bucket Bushidos and Pee Pee Warriors, enough padded stats for 6-8+ of our games right there..
