Looks like Idaho merged with a USA AAA team...http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=40

I wonder how their chemistry will effect their play...

Here's my best guess:

Idaho is going to have to find certain players to sell off since they have a ridiculous amount right now on their roster. Their chemistry is going to be awful this season and that happened to the Perrinton Panthers over in SE Asia AAA #1 when their pro team the Columbus Bucks were out of playoff contention they sent most of their best players down. Really effed up their chemistry and despite being superior in talent they got knocked out in the 1st round of the playoffs in a blow out I think...

Another thing is the following season chemistry was still an issue and they only went like 10-6 or 11-5 despite their talent level.

I could see that happening with Idaho, BUT, and this is the big but, if they stick together for long enough chemistry will get back to a relatively normal point and then they will probably, at the least, win their conference and move into AAA.

Yeah - it's a long term thing for our group of friends. The chemistry should be fine by season's end when it counts. We've seen teams with lousy chemistry (and been beaten by teams with lousy chemistry, lol) do just fine when the talent level was high. Usually talent trumps chemistry. Our OC is freaking out right now. haha

Our stadium and finances are still a few years away from supporting a roster full of level 30's - and level 32 equipment upgrades. Still some moves to be made. Any takers? lol

Not really that similar to Columbus as that was a move that happened late in the season. We didn't want to move anyone to Idaho last season late as that just didn't sit right with us.

So it looks like Zeta has three elite teams now...

1. HRY
2. MMJ
3. Idaho

I just want to make the playoffs this season like last.

I know everyone hates us, so might as well play it up.

I'm an asshole by nature. You all are playing for 2nd place. LOL joking

We all very well might be playing for second. I understand what they did, but it sort of takes the luster off an entirely competitive league even before game one of the new season.

Last season, I commented how our team overachieved seeing as we only had something like four players over level 24. Idaho now has 11 players over level 30 and 44 players over level 24. We don't even have 44 players on our roster...and we were the second place team in the regular season!

I think the strategy of chemistry not mattering due to being absurdly out-leveled will work. We can't match that in any shape or form.

I don't hate you, Idaho, but team consolidation would have been better served in a league where you'd be a little more evenly matched. Enjoy your victories. Just understand how hollow they are.

No victory is hollow.

5 of those level 30+ players will be moving on to new teams.

All in all we will move or retire quite a few players so there shouldn't be the concern. I looked at the matchup and there are 2 teams that have the same overall score. So I guess those teams are also going to have hollow victories?

C'mon, guys. Use whatever slogans or arguments you want to help you justify it to yourselves, but don't try to deny the truth of the situation. It's clear to everyone. Take the best of two teams and combine it, plus it's not like you chose to consolidate on the team in the higher league. You can dress this up any way you want, but it's still clear what is going on.

As I said before, I understand it...I don't hate your team for it...but I can't deny that it adversely affects what was otherwise a competitive league. Just look at the move Idaho was able to accomplish last year without collusion.

Regardless, I accept it...it is what it is. Why do you feel the need to argue against what it is?

We (Arrowhead) will be playing Idaho in game #1. Strategy: "Gnaw on their ankles like a pack of crazed Miniature Poodles!"... to loosely quote Lawrence Taylor.

You all saw what I did as an O and D coordinator with Idaho last season. I used our players to the best of their abilities and all the agents listened to build ideas and charts.

If we lose a game or even more than fine, I know it's due to great game planning and effort from the opposing team. I want owners and GM's to push their teams and find that "magic" to make them successful. I did that last season so why can't someone else?

I'm not taking full credit for last season, the team pulled that one off. I just opened the door.

I rather be hated than liked, gives me more of an incentive to try harder.

Arrowhead, I wish the best of luck to you. I hope you can find a weakness in my team and exploit it to your full advantage. Levels do not mean shit in this game. You need to know how to build your players, plenty of lower level guys that are better than higher levels.

Understand that we recruited very hard this off-season with limited success, so to see an entire squad of (now) level 30 players move over here was a bit frustrating. Had Idaho recruited all of them separately, I would have merely stared in amazement.

That being said, a new perspective was brought to my attention by a pretty thoughtful person. Beyond merely accepting it, I now feel I understand it a little better. I look forward to a competitive season.
