I know the Titans have suffered a few losses personell wise during my time away but we've also made a few key additions. I'm waiting on the new ticket money to show up tonight before getting to involved in the free agent/trade market. How about the rest of you remainders from season 4?

As ever were coming into the season outlevelled. Of course weve managed to reduce just how outlevelled we are this year which coupled with our gameplanning should help us turn a couple of those 1-3 point losses last year into wins this time around.

The big issue this year in Zeta I think is how many of last years playoff teams have the financial situation to avoid the gutting route. Theres a couple who havent made the stadium upgrades others have whilst have kept the high payroll team from last year. With the new fame based salaries and players wanting shiny equipment of +3 fire damage I think a few teams could be in trouble.

All in all it should at least be a bit more exciting than last year.

I think Manila have added the most pure talent (at least by levels), though I worry that they (and the Razorbacks) may not have the stadium to support them (or at least the equipment upgrades).

Otherwise, the talent situation looks fairly similar to what it was last season as far as the top several teams go (in addition to the Fisherman, at the moment, the Titans, Tsunamis and Bulls, in close to that order, seem to have the most talent by levels), though as the Bucks have shown, levels aren't everything.

Continue to ignore the Gangsters! LOL

Seriously though, the gangsters are primed to move up a few spots in the league standings this year. Looking forward to another great year of competition with you guys!

EtGA,

Notice I said from a pure level perspective at this point in the preseason. We've never overlooked you guys (we'd be idiots to, given that we've barely squeaked out wins both times we played. . .our win in season 1 was pretty much dumb luck), and we sure aren't going to start this season.

Also, a lot of what things look like now will change as more recruiting takes place and different players/teams boost at different times.

I know you were, but wanted to quickly cover my ass for when we lose to you in the 3rd game. By the way, why do we always match up at the beginning of the season?

The Hellfighters fixed up the O-Line and added some defensive players, as well as added an owner that logs on more than once a month. Hopefully we move up a couple spots and have a winning season

that was the most boring offseason ever.....my schedule sucks too......or maybe its because there are to many teams that i have to worry about. im actually quite surprised that Tsunamis are on the list of having the highest level since we really didn't do that many moves. (good group of guys we have, wanted to keep them around)

I have to admit that I put the list of the best levels together by quickly looking at the profile of every team (except for Manila's profile, which took longer as I had to pick my jaw up off the ground), so scientific it ain't.

I had originally thought that it would be a great year for our league in free agency b/c of the continuing cap for last season's expansion teams. However, I think that the introduction of fame and the new training/equipment regime may have made SE Asia AA less attractive than I had thought. Fortunately, we had a ton of great players in this league anyway, so the competition should continue to be fierce.

We mostly kept our team intact from last season (which makes me very happy considering the guys we have), though upgraded at a few spots where we had a need and were able to find good players with great agents.

I'm ready for the season to start, though.

It looks pretty much like the usual suspects again in Zeta. I'd say the playoff teams would be: R-backs, Fisherman, Buzzards, Hurricane, Bulls, Tsunamis, Titans, Bucks, Gangsters

Yes, I know that's 9 teams, but the question is going to be who wins the early match-ups and cruises and who has to fight for the 6/7/8 spot.

Financially, the R-backs and Hurricane might be in trouble, but we'll have to see how they cope.

Don't count out the Hellfighters folks. Our O-Line is rebuilt and solid. We have a new arm throwing the ball and a new DC who is going to town upgrading. This year we are over .500 and in the playoffs.

it looks like the Leopards got a new owner.....didn't think the last owner would stick it out for as long as he did.

at least he is fielding a decent enough team and not filled with level 1's.

the new team..Saigon Sharks, also doesn't look to bad, with a few more people they could be a contender.

That's a good point, Saigon looks to have some real quality starters. I just hope that Saigon doesn't fill out its team until after the first game. . .

after looking i think the Bulls will be going 16-0 this season again.....lots of high level depth on that team at every position (maybe needs a QB), most depth i've seen in the conference.
